BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Bloomsburg wresting team fell to University of Buffalo, 29-11, Sunday afternoon.
 
Kade Kluce (Dundee, Mich./Dundee) continues to impress in his first season at Bloomsburg as he posted a 15-0 tech fall over Michael Giugliano at 133 pounds early in the third period to tie the match at 5-5.
 
Buffalo got a win by forfeit before posting a fall at 149 to take a 17-5 lead in the match. After four-straight wins by decisions for UB, the Huskies closed out the match with two-straight wins at 197 and 285.
 
Mason Rebuck (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) battled at 197 pounds and ultimately came out on top, 12-11, for the win by decision over Lonnell Pabon.
 
Tyler McCatharn (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) closed out the match with a hard-fought victory at 285 pounds. McCatharn got an escape late in the third period and held on for the 5-4 win in the heavy weight bout.

The Huskies return to the mat next Saturday when they travel to Sacred Heart for a match at 12:00 p.m. in Fairfield, Conn. Head coach John Stutzman has announced the Bloomsburg wrestling Alumni Day at the Nelson Field House for Saturday, February 8, when the Huskies square off against Rider University. Action gets underway at 2:00 pm.

Join Bloomsburg Wrestling at Nelson Field House for Wrestling Alumni Night and watch the Huskies take on Rider University. After the 5th match we will take a break to honor all Huskies Wrestling alumni in attendance. Each pre-registered alumni and their guest will receive complimentary admission to the match that afternoon. There will also be a social at the Wagon Shed following the match sponsored by the Husky Elite Wrestling Club.
