LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Two members of the Bloomsburg men's soccer team received all-conference honors from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) on Wednesday afternoon.  

The two honorees for the Huskies are senior defender Kody Besser (Lacey Township, N.J./Lacey Township) and senior midfielder Sam Blumberger (Colchester, Conn./Bacon Academy). Besser becomes just the third player in program history to be a four-time all-conference honoree. Head coach Mark Bassett has guided Bloomsburg men's soccer to 25 All-PSAC East accolades in his five seasons at the helm of the program.

Besser earns his third-consecutive first-team All-PSAC honor following another season as the focal point of the Huskies' defense. After suffering a late-season injury in 2024, Besser returned to the pitch in 2025 without missing a beat to help the Huskies to the best defensive record in the conference for the second consecutive season. The defender had one assist this season across his 16 matches played this season. The Lacey Township, N.J. native earned one PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week, giving him five in his career and six in total. Besser joins Jerry Crick (1986-1989) and Neil Stoddart (1995-1998) as four-time members of an All-PSAC team.

In his final season at Bloomsburg, Blumberger receives his first all-conference nod after adjusting to a new position for the Huskies. Playing in the midfield this season, Blumberger finished with two goals and a career-high three assists. The former forward's transition deeper in the formation added needed depth and expereince in the midfield for the Huskies. Blumberger's frame, ability in the air, and play with his feet have been a tremendous asset for Bloomsburg in 2025.
