ITHACA, N.Y. — The Bloomsburg wrestling team turned in a full day of high-volume action at the Big Red Invitational, producing bonus-point wins, dominant tech falls, and several standout performances across all 10 weight classes.
Eric Alderfer (Lower Stafford. Pa./Faint Christian),
Braidon Woodward (Canisto-Greenwood, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon), and
Jace Schafer (Fairport, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon) won the their respective weight classes.

The Huskies saw multiple wrestlers rack up major decisions and tech falls, highlighted by an undefeated title runs from
Eric Alderfer (Lower Stafford. Pa./Faint Christian) at 174 and
Jace Schafer (Fairport, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon) at 125, and high-scoring performances from
Braidon Woodward (Canisto-Greenwood, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon) at 165. Bloomsburg wrestlers combined for 20 total bonus point wins between pins, major decisions, and tech fall victories throughout a deep tournament field featuring Cornell, Brown, Binghamton, Clarion, Sacred Heart, and George Mason.

125 Pounds
Bloomsburg demonstrated depth at 125 with
Jace Schafer (Fairport, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon),
Gavin Martin (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial), and
Justin Jones (Orange County/Locust Grove) all earning wins.

Schafer delivered one of the team's strongest performances of the weekend, ripping through Group D with a 19-3 tech fall at 6:32 over Corey Iannucci of Sacred Heart before posting a 15-3 major decision over Easton Mull of Clarion. Schafer defeated Trey Smith of Binghamton 17-0 (3:16 tech fall) before closing out the title match with a  2-0 decision over JB Dragovich of George Mason.

Martin battled through a difficult draw but claimed a hard-earned 2-1 decision over Sacred Heart's Caden Smith and stayed competitive with several nationally competitive opponents. Jones added an 11–0 dominant win over Tyler Sacred Heart's Tyler Hildebrandt, continuing Bloomsburg's strong start at the lightest weight.

Bloomsburg entered four wrestlers at 133—
Kade Kluce (Dundee, Mich./Dundee),
Gavin Mundy (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy),
Aiden Grogg (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley), and additional intra-squad bouts—showcasing one of the deepest weight classes in the lineup.

Kluce opened the tournament with a major decision loss to Dillon Arrick of Binghamton but rebounded with a 17-4 win over team mate
Gavin Mundy (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy) and a 2-1 decision over Grogg before taking second at the 133-pound Group A bracket with a 12-2 major decision over Dylan Kadish of Clarion.
Mundy and Grogg each secured impressive victories as well. Mundy posted gritty decisions of 6-4(Dylan Kadish – Clarion) and 4-3 (
Aiden Grogg (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley)), while Grogg opened the day with a 4-0 shutout over Clarion's Dylan Kadish. The group combined for six total wins, including several all-Husky battles that underscored the internal depth at the weight.

At 141,
Tristan Corbin (Bear Creek, Pa./Robinson) and
Richie Woods (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport) both found their way to bonus points.

Corbin secured a fall in 1:47 over Binghamton's Max Griffin, and later added a med-forfeit victory. Woods also produced a big moment with a fall over Sacred Heart's Josias Daniels at 5:56.

Both wrestlers faced ranked opposition from Cornell and Clarion but turned in competitive efforts throughout the bracket.

Dustin Elliott (Delmar, Del./Sussex Tech) led Bloomsburg's efforts at 149 with a 2–1 record that included a third-period fall over Sacred Heart's Jack DiBenedetto and a 9–1 major decision against Connor MacDonald.

Jay Chase (Wallingford, Conn./Martin T Sheehan) and
Alec Baxley (Newark, Del./St. Mark's) each picked up match experience against nationally competitive brackets, gaining valuable mat time as they continue to develop within the Husky lineup.

Bloomsburg showcased two productive competitors at 157 in
Cael Raines (North Chille, N.Y./Churchville-Chille) and
William Morrow (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn).

Raines opened with a strong first-period fall in 2:03 over Nolan Hook of Sacred Heart and battled in all three matches of his group. Morrow delivered one of the weight class's top Husky performances, recording a dominant 19-3 tech fall over Scared Heart's Antonio Jimenez and a first-period fall in 2:46 against Clarion's Reece Bechakas.

Bloomsburg's deepest success of the middleweights came at 165 behind
Braidon Woodward (Canisto-Greenwood, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon) and
Hassin Maynes (Grand Junction, Colo./Grand Junction).

Woodward went undefeated in his group, scoring an 11–0 major decision, a 19–3 tech fall, and two medical/forfeit wins to secure the top placement in Group D. Maynes added a 19-4 tech fall over Sacred Heart's Jaxon Torres and later earned a solid 5-3 decision.

The headline performance of the event belonged to
Eric Alderfer (Lower Stafford. Pa./Faint Christian), who stormed through four matches to win his bracket in commanding fashion.

Alderfer opened the day with a second-period fall over Deakon Bailey from Binghamton at 4:37 before getting a fall in the last 30 seconds of the match against Aidan Zarrella of Sacred Heart. Alderfer earned a spot in the championship match with a 9-5 decision over Evan Canoyer of Cornell before winning the bracket with a 15-0 first period tech fall at 2:34 over Eric Wolf of Sacred Heart.

He finished the day 4–0 with two pins and a tech fall, earning one of the most complete performances of the entire tournament.

Connor Hudak (Schwenksville, Pa./Spring-Ford) represented the Huskies with several bonus-point wins. Hudak recorded a 21-6 tech fall in 1:39 over Manny Psikararkis of Scared Heart to go with a 3-0 decision earlier in the bracket.

Bloomsburg's 197-pound group of
Wyatt Bush (Grundy, Va./Grundy),
Coy Raines (North Chille, N.Y./Churchville-Chille), and
Jared Haers (Palmyra, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon) each delivered quality wins.

Bush earned a 20-4 tech fall over George Mason's Jamil Morrow, while Raines matched the effort with his own 20-4 tech fall in 4:57. Haers opened his day with a victory in just 49 seconds against Sacred Heart's Michael Molina.

Heavyweight proved to be one of the busiest brackets for Bloomsburg, with
Tyler McCatharn (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills),
Mason Rebuck (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy),
Eli Torres (New Castle, Del./William Penn), and
Gavin Hannah (Brookville, Pa./Brookville) all in action.

McCatharn ended his day with an exciting 4-1 sudden-victory decision over Riley McPherson of Brown, and Hannah added a 5–3 decision over Sacred Heart's Brendan Gilchrist. Torres picked up a 7–2 win, while Rebuck delivered two 8–1 decisions, including one over Brown's Riley McPherson.
