CLEVELAND, Ohio - Senior Eric Alderfer (Harleysville, Pa./Faith Christian) continues his hot start to the 2025-26 season for Bloomsburg wrestling and was named the MAC East Wrestler of the Week, Tuesday morning. Alderfer went 4-0 at the Cornell Invite and won the 174 pound bracket in Group B. 

Alderfer won the 174 bracket in Group B at the Cornell Invite with a dominant performance that included three bonus point wins on a 4-0 day. Alderfer opened the day with a fall at 4:37 over Deakon Bailey of Binghamton before defeating Aidan Zarrella of Sacred Heart with a fall at 6:30. After a winning 9-5 over Evan Canoyer of Cornell, Alderfer closed out the bracket with a 15-0 tech fall at 2:34 over Eric Wolf of Sacred Heart.

The Huskies take on UVA on Saturday, November 29 in front of their home crowd at Nelson Field House for the first time this season. The match is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
