BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg wrestling team dropped a Mid-American Conference dual match to Rider, 47-0, Saturday afternoon.

At the break between the 157 and 165 pound bouts, the Huskies welcomed back their alumni and honored the Husky Elite Wrestling Club. Bloomsburg honored 30+ alumni in attendance and thanked them for their continuous support of the program.

Following the break, Nick Foster had a hard-fought match at 184 pounds against Liam Scrivanich. After a scoreless first period, Scrivanich deferred and Foster chose bottom for the second period. Scrivanich rode out the period to build 2:00 minutes of riding time going into the third. Scrivanich chose to start the third neutral and escape a pair of takedown attempts by Foster to keep his riding time intact and win by decision, 1-0.

Mason Rebuck (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) put together a competitive match at 197 pound against Brock Zurawski but an escape and riding time point at the end of the match was the difference in Zurawski's win. Zurawski scored first with a takedown in the first period. Rebuck deferred in the second and Zurawski chose bottom. The choice paid off as he scored a two-point reversal to take a 5-0 match lead. Rebuck earned an escape to cut the lead 5-1 at the second of the season. Rebuck chose bottom and got an escape to cut the lead to 5-2. A takedown for Rebuck tied the match at 5-5 late in the third. After a restart, Zurawski got his escape to break the tie and held on to the riding time point for the 7-5 win.

William Morrow (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn) wrestled a tight match just before the break at 157 pounds against Colton Washleski. Washleski chose bottom to start the second period and got an escape to take a 1-0 lead in the match. Morrow chose bottom to start the third and Washleski built riding time to grab the extra point and 2-0 match win.

The Huskies return to the mat on February 20 when they travel to Annapolis, Md. For a 7:00 p.m. dual. Bloomsburg hosts its final home dual of the season on February 21 against Edinboro at 7:00 p.m. The Huskies will honor their graduating student athletes prior to the match.
