CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The Bloomsburg wrestling team faced a demanding slate of Division I competition at the NWCA National Duals on Friday, earning individual victories throughout the lineup against Drexel, CSU Bakersfield, Northern Iowa, Ohio, and Campbell.
 
Mason Rebuck (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) (285) | 4-1 on the weekend
Heavyweight Rebuck led the Huskies with four victories across five duals, consistently closing out matches at the final weight. Rebuck opened his weekend with a 6-3 sudden-victory decision over Mason Cover of CSU Bakersfield on Friday. Mason kicked off Saturday's action with a win by fall against Northern Iowa's Grant Stromberg at 3:48 before adding an emphatic 11-0 major decision against Wyatt Schmitt of Ohio. Rebuck ended the weekend with a 2-0 decision over Sawyer VanRider of Campbell.
 
Coy Raines (North Chille, N.Y./Churchville-Chille) (197) | 3-1 on the weekend
Raines turned in a strong performance at 197 pounds with three victories. Raines secured Bloomsburg's lone win against Drexel, edging Ibrahim Ameer in a tight 9-8 decision. He followed with a dominant 9-0 major decision over Chris Neal of CSU Bakersfield and closed the weekend with a forfeit victory against Campbell.
 
Jay Chase (Wallingford, Conn./Martin T Sheehan) (149) | 2-1 on the weekend
At 149 pounds, Chase recorded two key decision wins. Chase posted a 9-5 decision over Mikah Labuanan of CSU Bakersfield and later added a 4-2 decision against Jonathan Chang of Campbell.
 
Connor Hudak (Schwenksville, Pa./Spring-Ford) (184) | 2-1 on the weekend
Hudak collected two victories at 184 pounds, beginning with an 8-5 decision over Jeremy Manibog of CSU Bakersfield. Hudak later added a forfeit win against Campbell.
 
William Morrow (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn) (157) | 1-2 on the weekend
Morrow earned a decision victory at 157 pounds with a 4-1 win over Devyn Flores-Che of CSU Bakersfield.
 
Richie Woods (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport) (141) | 1-3 on the weekend
At 141 pounds, Woods picked up a hard-fought 4-2 decision over Abe Hermes of Ohio.
 
Gavin Martin (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial) (125) | 1-3 on the weekend
Martin earned a forfeit victory at 125 pounds against Campbell.
 
Vasillios Dimou (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) (165) | 1-3 on the weekend
Dimou recorded a forfeit victory at 165 pounds against Campbell.
 
Bloomsburg closed the NWCA National Duals with a 30-17 victory over Campbell and gained valuable experience throughout the lineup against some of the nation's top Division I programs.
 
The Huskies return home next Friday, January 16 when the Huskies host Geroge Mason for their annual Alumni Match at 6:00 p.m. at Nelson Field House. The Huskies are set to host Navy on January 23 at Nelson Field House and all active duty and retired military will receive free admission with this ID.
