THE GAME
Bloomsburg (6-2, 3-1 PSAC East) closes its October home schedule Saturday, Oct. 31, against West Chester (4-4, 1-3 PSAC East) at Danny Hale Field at Redman Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. The Huskies will recognize their seniors and celebrate Military Appreciation Day. Bloomsburg enters on a two-game winning streak after defeating No. 24 Shepherd on the road, 27-21, and holding off Millersville, 20-14, on Homecoming. The Huskies have won four road games and two home games this fall. Saturday's matchup pits a Bloomsburg defense allowing just 262.5 yards per game against a West Chester unit that has been especially effective at limiting opponents through the air.

THE SERIES
West Chester leads the all-time series against Bloomsburg, 54-30, entering Saturday's 85th meeting between the programs. The series dates to Oct. 10, 1925, when the Golden Rams earned a 13-0 victory. Despite West Chester's overall advantage, Bloomsburg holds a 22-21 record against the Golden Rams at home and has won the last two meetings at Danny Hale Field at Redman Stadium, including a 23-21 victory in 2024 and a 21-16 win in 2022.

The Golden Rams won last season's meeting, 46-44, in triple overtime at West Chester on Nov. 1, 2025. Bloomsburg has won three of the past 10 matchups, with six of the last seven meetings decided by three points or fewer. The Huskies' longest winning streak in the series was five games from 1993-97, while their largest victory came in a 41-10 triumph at home on Oct. 25, 2014.

LAST TIME OUT — BLOOMSBURG 20, MILLERSVILLE 14
Bloomsburg earned a 20-14 Homecoming victory over Millersville on Oct. 24, improving to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in PSAC East play. The Huskies' defense limited the Marauders to 247 yards of offense, including 65 rushing yards. Zay Pusateri (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg South) made two pivotal plays: a first-quarter interception near midfield that preceded a 15-play touchdown march ending in Zayd Etheridge's (Bridgeport, Pa./Upper Merion) 1-yard scoring run, and a blocked 39-yard field-goal attempt with 1:15 left in the first half. The block kept Bloomsburg ahead 14-7 and preceded an 81-yard, seven-play drive capped by Declan Clancy's (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) 4-yard touchdown run with 13 seconds remaining, pushing the margin to 20-7. Bloomsburg held on for the six-point victory.

I'M HONORED — BOOKER, KASHYNSKI, DONOHUE, ZIMMERMAN & PUSATERI
Bloomsburg has collected six PSAC East weekly athlete honors through eight games, including two sweeps of the defensive and special teams awards. The Huskies have earned three Defensive Athlete of the Week selections and three Special Teams Athlete of the Week honors, with five different student-athletes recognized.

Zay Pusateri (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg South) became the latest Husky to earn conference recognition, collecting PSAC East Special Teams Athlete of the Week honors after Bloomsburg's 20-14 Homecoming victory over Millersville. With the Huskies leading 14-7 and 1:15 left before halftime, Pusateri broke through to block Gryffin Mitstifer's 39-yard field-goal attempt. Bloomsburg then drove 81 yards in seven plays, with Declan Clancy (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) scoring from 4 yards out with 13 seconds remaining to extend the lead to 20-7. Pusateri also intercepted Tommy Hunsicker near midfield in the first quarter following pressure from Garrett Garcia (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia), setting up a 15-play touchdown drive capped by Zayd Etheridge's (Bridgeport, Pa./Upper Merion) 1-yard run.

Nahzier Booker (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) earned his second Defensive Athlete of the Week award following Bloomsburg's 27-21 win at No. 24 Shepherd, while Peter Kashynski (Falls Church, Va./Justice) collected Special Teams Athlete of the Week recognition. Booker deflected a pass intercepted by Garcia late in the first half and recorded his first career interception in the fourth quarter to set up the final Bloomsburg scoring drive. Kashynski scored nine points with field goals from 40 and 37 yards and three extra points.

Ian Donohue (Schuylkill Haven, Pa./Blue Mountain) and Eli Zimmerman (Schnecksville, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) swept the defensive and special teams honors after the Huskies' 33-31 comeback win over Shippensburg. Donohue recorded six tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, a forced fumble and three quarterback hurries as Bloomsburg held the Raiders to 30 rushing yards and 1 yard per carry. Zimmerman returned a fourth-quarter kickoff 76 yards for a touchdown, completing a nine-point swing in 12 seconds and supplying the eventual winning points. He finished with 194 all-purpose yards, including 110 return yards and 84 rushing yards.

Booker opened the season with Defensive Athlete of the Week recognition after the 35-13 win at Fairmont State, registering 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. Booker leads the Huskies with two weekly selections, while Donohue, Zimmerman, Kashynski and Pusateri have one apiece.

SENIOR DAY
Bloomsburg will honor members of its senior class before Saturday's game. The Senior Day recognition includes Jake Bobbin (Schuylkill Haven, Pa./Blue Mountain), Ross Bobbin (Schuylkill Haven, Pa./Blue Mountain), Spencer Branin (Rumson, N.J./Rumson Fair Haven Regional), Matt Buchman (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton), Brian Callahan (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan), Dimitri Chacon (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt), Ryan Corros (Honey Brook, Pa./Twin Valley), Ian Donohue (Schuylkill Haven, Pa./Blue Mountain), Rylan Jeter (Aliquippa, Pa./Central Valley), William McPeek, Ervin Mitchell (Waldorf, Md./Westlake), Riley Parker (Canton, Pa./Canton), Sean Paul (Roselle, N.J./Hudson Catholic), Jon Seamans (Scott Township. Pa./Lakeland), Charles Sheppard (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg Area), Lucas Shultz (Dallas. Pa./Dallas), Jacob Simoson, Liam Soto (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan), Brady Thompson (Green Lane, Pa./Upper Perkiomen), Cole Turner (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford), Garrett Varano (Mount Carmel, Pa./Mount Carmel), Justin Wolfe (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg Area) and Mason Yacovelli (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood).

DEFENSIVE STANDARD
Bloomsburg has built its 6-2 start on one of the PSAC's most productive defensive units. The Huskies allow 262.5 yards per game, 15th nationally, and have limited opponents to 698 rushing yards in eight games (87.3 per game). The defense has registered 18 sacks and 10 interceptions, while opponents have converted 35 of 103 third downs (34.0%). Bloomsburg has surrendered 159 points, an average of 19.9 per game, and has held six of its eight opponents to 21 points or fewer.

DOMINATING THE TRENCHES
The Huskies average 158.8 rushing yards per game while holding opponents to just 87.3, a 71.5-yard differential. Bloomsburg has rushed for 1,270 yards in eight games and continues to create negative plays on defense, averaging 7.3 tackles for loss and 2.25 sacks per contest. West Chester presents a distinct challenge up front, ranking among the national leaders in sacks and tackles for loss allowed, but has surrendered 175.8 rushing yards per game defensively.

CLANCY CONTINUES TO ROLL
Declan Clancy (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) has carried 155 times for 766 yards and eight touchdowns through eight games. His 95.8 rushing yards per game and 4.9 yards per attempt anchor the Bloomsburg offense. Clancy rushed for a season-high 135 yards in the opener at Fairmont State and logged a season-high 37 attempts in the road victory at Shepherd. He also scored from 4 yards out with 13 seconds left in the first half against Millersville, a touchdown that proved decisive in the 20-14 Homecoming win.

CHASING 1K
Declan Clancy (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) continues his pursuit of the 1,000-yard rushing milestone, needing just 236 yards over the final three games of the regular season to become Bloomsburg's first 1,000-yard rusher in a decade. Through eight games, Clancy has rushed for 764 yards and eight touchdowns on 154 carries, averaging 95.5 yards per game and 5.0 yards per attempt. He needs to average 78.7 yards over the final three contests to reach the milestone. Clancy added 85 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries in Bloomsburg's 20-14 Homecoming victory over Millersville, marking his third game with at least 85 rushing yards in the past four outings.

The last Bloomsburg running back to surpass 1,000 yards in a season was Lawrence Elliott Jr., who finished with 1,014 yards in 2016. Kaleb Monaco came close in 2023, finishing just 48 yards shy of the milestone with 952 yards. Bloomsburg's single-season rushing record belongs to Bloomsburg Athletics Hall of Famer and Harlon Hill winner, Franklyn Quiteh, who amassed 2,195 yards and 29 rushing touchdowns in 2013. Quiteh concluded his decorated career with 7,523 rushing yards, 22 consecutive 100-yard rushing performances and 42 career games with at least 100 rushing yards. Clancy's pursuit offers the opportunity to add another chapter to Bloomsburg's storied rushing tradition.

ETHERIDGE LEADS THE OFFENSE
Zayd Etheridge (Bridgeport, Pa./Upper Merion) has completed 80 of 129 passes for 1,058 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions, a 62.0% completion rate. The quarterback also has four rushing touchdowns, including a 1-yard score in the first quarter against Millersville. Etheridge threw for a season-high 240 yards at Gannon and three touchdown passes at Lackawanna, including an 80-yard connection with Xavier Diaz (Mount Carmel, Pa./Mount Carmel).

WOLFE PACKS A PUNCH
Justin Wolfe (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg Area) has been Bloomsburg's most productive receiving threat with 27 catches for 414 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 15.3 yards per reception. Wolfe has also contributed 72 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown, providing versatility in the Huskies' offensive packages. The senior enters Saturday's game as one of the players scheduled to be recognized during Senior Day.

ACHENBACH MOVES THE CHAINS
Alex Achenbach (Tower City, Pa./Williams Valley) leads the Huskies with 30 receptions and has accumulated 307 receiving yards. He has been a reliable possession target for Etheridge, highlighted by an eight-catch, 79-yard performance in the overtime win at Gannon. With Wolfe stretching the field and Achenbach working underneath, Bloomsburg has converted 45.7% of its third-down opportunities.

ZIMMERMAN DOES IT ALL
Eli Zimmerman (Schnecksville, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) has 229 rushing yards and two touchdowns and continues to influence games as a return specialist. He has returned 18 kickoffs for 432 yards, including a 76-yard touchdown against Shippensburg, and nine punts for 141 yards, an average of 15.7 yards per punt return. His kickoff-return score against the Raiders earned him PSAC East Special Teams Athlete of the Week honors.

BOOKER IN THE BACKFIELD
Nahzier Booker (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) has been a consistent playmaker for the Huskies' front seven, earning two PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week awards this season. He opened with 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks against Fairmont State, then helped turn the tide at Shepherd by deflecting a pass that Garrett Garcia (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) intercepted and recording an interception of his own in the fourth quarter.

DONOHUE DISRUPTS
Ian Donohue (Schuylkill Haven, Pa./Blue Mountain) has been central to Bloomsburg's pressure packages. His six tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, forced fumble and three quarterback hurries against Shippensburg earned him PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week honors. Donohue will also be among the players recognized during Senior Day.

GARCIA LEADS THE MIDDLE
Garrett Garcia (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) has provided steady production and timely plays from the middle of Bloomsburg's defense. He intercepted a pass at Gannon and came away with another takeaway at Shepherd after a Nahzier Booker (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) deflection. Garcia's pressure also helped create Zay Pusateri's (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg South) first-quarter interception against Millersville.

LBU
Bloomsburg's tradition of standout linebackers continues with a 2026 unit that has helped establish the Huskies among the PSAC's top defensive teams. Garrett Garcia (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) leads Bloomsburg with 59 tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and three pass breakups, while Nahzier Booker (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) has recorded 57 tackles, a team-leading 10 tackles for loss, five sacks and an interception. Brady Thompson (Green Lane, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) adds 47 tackles and an interception, giving the trio 163 combined stops through eight games. Their production has helped the Huskies limit opponents to 264.1 yards of total offense and just 88.9 rushing yards per game. Bloomsburg has also registered 18 sacks, 58 tackles for loss and 10 interceptions while holding opponents to a 33.3% third-down conversion rate. The Huskies' defensive strength was evident in their 20-14 Homecoming victory over Millersville, when they limited the Marauders to 65 rushing yards and recorded eight tackles for loss and three sacks.

The tradition traces back to current head coach and College Football Hall of Famer Frank Sheptock, one of the most decorated linebackers in program history. A three-time Associated Press First Team All-American and four-time All-PSAC selection, Sheptock still holds Bloomsburg records for career tackles (537), single-season tackles (159) and single-game tackles (23). He was inducted into the Bloomsburg Athletics Hall of Fame in 1997 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2007.

That legacy continued through PSAC East Defensive Players of the Year Anthony Smith (2009), Mike Varnavage (2010) and Justin Shirk (2014), along with All-PSAC standouts Andrew Harris, Alex Annan, Tom Goetz and Ryan D'Ambra. Shirk also earned Super Region 1 Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2014. With Sheptock now leading the program from the sidelines, Bloomsburg's current linebackers are carrying forward a tradition built on physicality, production and defensive excellence.

I'LL TAKE THAT
Bloomsburg has intercepted 10 passes and recovered three fumbles for 13 takeaways in eight games. The Huskies have committed 10 turnovers, giving them a plus-three turnover margin. Takeaways have generated 48 points off turnovers, including the first-quarter interception by Zay Pusateri (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg South) that preceded a touchdown drive in the Homecoming victory over Millersville.

TURNOVER PRODUCTION
The defense has produced interceptions in key situations, including Garrett Garcia's (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) takeaway at Gannon, the two interceptions involving Booker and Garcia at Shepherd, and Pusateri's interception against Millersville. Bloomsburg's 10 interceptions rank 28th nationally and fifth in the PSAC. The Huskies have scored 48 points following takeaways this season.

THIRD-DOWN SUCCESS
Bloomsburg has converted 48 of 105 third-down attempts (45.7%), ranking 28th nationally and third in the PSAC. Defensively, the Huskies have held opponents to 35 conversions in 103 attempts (34.0%), ranking 38th nationally and third in the conference. Maintaining that differential will be important against a West Chester team that has allowed only 0.75 sacks per game.

PRESSURE UP FRONT
The Huskies average 7.3 tackles for loss and 2.25 sacks per game, with 18 total sacks through eight contests. West Chester's offensive line ranks ninth nationally in sacks allowed (0.75 per game) and 14th in tackles for loss allowed (3.75 per game), creating a notable strength-on-strength matchup between Bloomsburg's defensive front and the Golden Rams' protection unit.
KASHYNSKI PUTS POINTS ON THE BOARD
Peter Kashynski (Falls Church, Va./Justice) is 7-for-11 on field-goal attempts and 23-for-24 on extra points for a team-leading 44 kicking points. He earned PSAC East Special Teams Athlete of the Week honors after connecting from 40 and 37 yards and converting all three extra points in the 27-21 victory at Shepherd. His reliability will remain important in a matchup between two teams averaging 24.5 points per game.

OFFENSIVE NOTES
Bloomsburg has accumulated 2,430 yards of offense through eight games, averaging 303.8 per contest. The Huskies have rushed for 1,270 yards and passed for 1,160. Clancy has eight rushing touchdowns, while Etheridge has five passing scores and four rushing touchdowns. Bloomsburg has converted 48 of 105 third downs and scored on 22 of 27 red-zone opportunities (81.5%), with 16 red-zone touchdowns.

DEFENSIVE NOTES
Bloomsburg has held opponents to 2,100 total yards in eight games, including 698 on the ground. The Huskies average 87.3 rushing yards allowed per game and have forced 13 turnovers, with 10 interceptions and three fumble recoveries. The defense has recorded 18 sacks and held opponents to a 34.0% third-down conversion rate. The Huskies held Millersville to 65 rushing yards and 247 total yards in their most recent outing.

SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
Bloomsburg has received three PSAC East Special Teams Athlete of the Week awards, earned by Eli Zimmerman (Schnecksville, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh), Peter Kashynski (Falls Church, Va./Justice) and Zay Pusateri (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg South). Zimmerman has 432 kickoff-return yards, a 76-yard return touchdown and 141 punt-return yards. Kashynski has made seven field goals and 23 extra points. Pusateri blocked a 39-yard field-goal attempt against Millersville, a pivotal play in the 20-14 Homecoming win. The Huskies average 14.1 yards per punt return, ranking 16th nationally.

KEY MATCHUPS — BLOOMSBURG VS. WEST CHESTER
Saturday's Senior Day matchup features contrasting strengths, with Bloomsburg's nationally ranked rushing defense and physical ground attack facing a West Chester team that has excelled in pass defense and pass protection. The Huskies enter the contest allowing just 262.5 total yards and 87.3 rushing yards per game, ranking 15th and 10th nationally, respectively. West Chester counters with the nation's seventh-ranked passing defense, allowing 141.4 yards per game, and an offensive line that ranks ninth nationally in sacks allowed.

The game could be decided in the trenches. Bloomsburg averages 158.8 rushing yards per contest, while West Chester surrenders 175.8 yards on the ground. Conversely, the Huskies' defense averages 7.3 tackles for loss and 2.25 sacks per game against a Golden Rams offensive front that has limited opponents to just six sacks through eight games.

INDIVIDUAL MATCHUPS TO WATCH

DECLAN CLANCY VS. WEST CHESTER'S LINEBACKING CORPS
Clancy enters Saturday with 766 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 155 carries, averaging 95.8 yards per game. The Huskies' leading rusher needs 234 yards to become Bloomsburg's first 1,000-yard rusher since Lawrence Elliott Jr. in 2016. Clancy will face a West Chester defense allowing 175.8 rushing yards per game, creating an opportunity for the Huskies to establish their ground game and control possession.

West Chester linebackers Ricardo Delgado and Luke Trunell anchor the Golden Rams' defense and will be central to containing Clancy between the tackles. Their ability to limit Clancy's yards after contact and prevent sustained rushing drives will be critical.

IAN DONOHUE AND NAHZIER BOOKER VS. WEST CHESTER'S OFFENSIVE LINE
One of Saturday's most intriguing matchups pits Bloomsburg's disruptive defensive front against one of the nation's most effective pass-protection units. West Chester ranks ninth nationally in sacks allowed, surrendering just 0.75 per game, while Bloomsburg has produced 18 sacks and averages a PSAC-leading 7.3 tackles for loss per contest.

Donohue and Booker have been central to the Huskies' success at the line of scrimmage, consistently creating negative plays and disrupting opposing quarterbacks. Donohue recorded a sack and two tackles for loss against Millersville, while Booker led the Huskies with 10 tackles, including nine solo stops. Their ability to generate pressure without relying heavily on blitzes could be decisive against a West Chester offense averaging 180.4 passing yards per game.

ZAYD ETHERIDGE VS. WEST CHESTER'S SECONDARY
Etheridge faces one of his toughest statistical challenges of the season against a Golden Rams secondary that ranks seventh nationally in passing yards allowed. The Bloomsburg quarterback has completed 80 of 129 passes for 1,058 yards and five touchdowns, completing 62.0% of his attempts.

Etheridge enters the matchup following one of his most efficient performances, completing 12 of 15 passes for 204 yards without an interception against Millersville. West Chester defensive backs Bryan Anderson and Jamir Reyes are among the players tasked with limiting the Huskies' passing attack. Establishing the run and using play-action opportunities could help Etheridge challenge a defense that has consistently limited opposing passing games.

JUSTIN WOLFE AND ALEX ACHENBACH VS. WEST CHESTER'S DEFENSIVE BACKS
Wolfe and Achenbach provide Etheridge with complementary receiving options against the Golden Rams' nationally ranked pass defense. Wolfe leads Bloomsburg with 414 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 27 receptions, averaging 15.3 yards per catch. His ability to stretch the field creates opportunities for explosive plays, particularly when opposing defenses commit additional defenders to stopping Clancy.

Achenbach has developed into one of the Huskies' most versatile offensive weapons, recording 30 receptions for 307 yards. Against Millersville, he produced 125 yards from scrimmage, including four catches for 86 yards and six carries for 39 yards and a touchdown. His ability to contribute as a receiver and ball carrier gives Bloomsburg another option against West Chester's defense.

GARRETT GARCIA AND BLOOMSBURG'S FRONT SEVEN VS. MIKHAIL
JOHNSON AND FUTURE ROBERTSON
Bloomsburg's ability to stop the run will be tested by West Chester's backfield combination of Mikhail Johnson and Future Robertson. Johnson leads the Golden Rams with 397 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Robertson has added 277 yards and three scores. Together, the two have accounted for more than two-thirds of West Chester's rushing production.

Garcia anchors a Bloomsburg defense allowing just 87.3 rushing yards per game. The Huskies held Millersville to 65 rushing yards on 34 attempts. Garcia recorded nine tackles, two tackles for loss and a quarterback hurry in the Homecoming victory. Containing Johnson and Robertson on early downs would also allow Bloomsburg to put the Golden Rams into passing situations.

BLOOMSBURG'S SECONDARY VS. COLIN O'SULLIVAN AND DYLAN McKENZIE
West Chester quarterback Colin O'Sullivan enters the contest having completed 123 of 200 passes for 1,203 yards, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions. The Golden Rams' passing attack features Dylan McKenzie, who leads the team with 32 receptions for 433 yards, averaging 13.5 yards per catch.

McKenzie, a 6-foot-3 receiver, presents a challenge with his size and ability to generate explosive plays. Bloomsburg's secondary has helped the Huskies collect 10 interceptions through eight games, with Zay Pusateri (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg South) adding to that total against Millersville. The Huskies will look to disrupt O'Sullivan's timing and capitalize on potential turnover opportunities while preventing McKenzie from creating separation downfield.

ELI ZIMMERMAN AND ZAY PUSATERI VS. WEST CHESTER'S SPECIAL TEAMS
Special teams could provide a decisive advantage in a matchup featuring two teams capable of producing game-changing plays in the kicking game. Zimmerman has accumulated 432 kickoff-return yards and 141 punt-return yards this season, averaging 15.7 yards per punt return. His 76-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against Shippensburg helped the Huskies complete a dramatic comeback victory.

Pusateri enters Saturday following his PSAC East Special Teams Athlete of the Week performance against Millersville. He blocked a 39-yard field-goal attempt late in the first half, setting up an 81-yard Bloomsburg touchdown drive that extended the Huskies' lead to 20-7. He also intercepted a pass in the first quarter to set up another scoring possession.

West Chester has blocked four kicks this season and ranks 20th nationally in kickoff-return defense, allowing 16.45 yards per return, and seventh nationally in punt-return defense at 2.0 yards per return. The matchup between Zimmerman's return ability and West Chester's coverage units could shape field position.

PETER KASHYNSKI VS. WEST CHESTER'S KICK-BLOCK UNIT
Kashynski has converted seven of 11 field-goal attempts and 23 of 24 extra-point opportunities this season, accounting for 44 points. He earned PSAC East Special Teams Athlete of the Week honors after connecting on field goals of 40 and 37 yards and converting all three extra points in Bloomsburg's 27-21 victory at Shepherd.

West Chester's four blocked kicks represent a significant challenge for Bloomsburg's protection unit. With both teams accustomed to playing close games, the execution of field-goal attempts, extra points and protection assignments could have a direct impact on Saturday's outcome.
