STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Alexis Tepper (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) shattered the indoor school record in the mile while the Bloomsburg women's track and field team competed at the Fastrack National Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York on Friday.

Tepper broke the school record in the mile by nearly six seconds, posting a time of 4:54.15 to take seventh in the event. The junior set her own personal best by about three seconds while claiming an NCAA provisional mark. The previous record of 5:00.05 was set by Teresa Ortiz back in 2017.

Two other Huskies set PSAC qualifying times in the event while placing inside the top 40.
Cori McCormick (Ashland, Pa./North Schuylkill) ran a season-best of 5:13.67 to take 27th while
Sydney Werner (Reading, Pa./Conrad Weiser) crossed the line 34th with a time of 5:15.68.

The 800-meter saw three athletes record season-bests as
Alyssa Keeley (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) led the Bloomsburg contingent with a time of 2:27.35, taking 44th.
Meah Eshelman (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) ran a 2:27.62 to take 46th while
Ashlyn Albright (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) placed 48th with a 2:27.74.

Albright also set a personal-best in the 400-meter with a time of 1:06.34.
Bailey O'Keefe (Effort, Pa./Pleasant Valley) placed 28th in the pole vault, clearing a height of 2.60-meters (8' 6.25").
Kendra Stout (/) took 20th in the 200-meter with a time of 26.34.
Aleese Stair (/) ran an 8.39 in the 60-meter to place 24th while
Abby Rochester (Pocono Summit, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) placed 28th with an 8.46.

The Huskies track and field team is back in action on Saturday, February 6th as they compete in the Blue & Orange Invitational hosted by Utica.
