UTICA, N.Y. – Abby Parise (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) broke her own school record while the women's indoor track & field competed at the Blue & Orange Invitational in Utica to cap off a busy weekend for the Huskies.

For the second time this season, Parise has broken her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles. After running a 9.14 in the prelims, the sophomore posted a time of 8.94 to take third in the event. Madeline Ikeler ran a 9.39 to round out the top ten.

Parise also went on to claim victory in the long jump with a mark of 5.59 meters (18' 4.25"). Two Huskies joined Parise in the top five as
Aria Messner (Avoca, Pa./Pittston Area) took third with a season-best of 5.43 meters (17'9.75").
Devin Hubler (Minersville, Pa./Minersville Area) took fifth with a mark of 5.38 meters (17' 8").

Hubler took home her third triple jump victory of the season, reaching the top step of the podium with an 11.52-meter (37' 9.5") jump. Her winning mark fell just half an inch short of matching her career-best in the event.

Mikaela Sullivan (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) placed third in the shot put, achieving a mark of 12.43 meters (40' 9.5") on her third through.
Laura Dunn (/) set a personal-best with a throw of 11.65 meters (38' 2.75") to take seventh.
Julia Beccari (Lake Ronkonkoma, Pa./Sachem North) finished just behind Dunn, claiming eighth with a mark of 11.36 meters (37' 3.25").

Beccari placed seventh in the weight throw as well, setting a personal-best with a throw of 14.54 meters (47' 8.5).
Grace Lippincott (State College, Pa./State College Area) finished ninth with a mark 14.33 meters (47' 0.25").

Jewel Little (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg Area) and
Jordin Bowman (/) each cleared 1.47 meters (4' 9.75") in the invite high jump. Little took sixth by clearing the height on her first attempt while Bowman placed eighth after taking to attempts to clear 1.47 meters. In the open high jump
Paige Casterline (Bucks County, Pa./Palisades) finished 10th with a mark of 1.38 meters (4'6.25").

The Huskies are back in action on Friday, February 13 as they head to Youngstown, Ohio for the YSU Last Chance Meet.
