WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's track & field team won one event at the Bill Butler Invite hosted by West Chester on Friday and Saturday. The Huskies finished second overall with 111 team points.
The Husky throwers once against shined as
Jack Donchez (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty High School) led the way. Donchez won the hammer throw with a toss of 46.60 meters (152' 10"). Dylan Krugh took third with a throw of 44.58 meters (146' 3") and
Ryan Walker (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) finished fourth at 41.56 meter (136' 4"). Elijalee Torres finished seventh at 39.91 meters (130' 11") and TJ Diehl took ninth with a throw of 37.16 meters (121' 11"). Charles Brittingham finished 10
th (35.78 meters), Stephen Vaughan finished 11
th (34.44 meter)s, and Samuel Santoli took 15
th (31.53 meter)s.
Walker also took second is the discus with a throw of 41.24 meters (135' 3") while Brittingham finished fourth at 40.23 meters (132'). Vaughan took 10
th at 34.52 meters (113' 3") and Diehl finished 12
th overall at 31.99 meters (104' 11").
Cole Campbell finished second in the javelin with a season-best throw of 52.55 meters (172' 5") while Blake Polcha took third at 52.46 meters (172' 1"). Matthew Stafflin finished fifth at 43.75 meters (143' 6") and
Peter Umbenhaur (Somerville, N.J./Somerville) finished seventh at 36.79 meters (120' 8").
Torres (13.68 meters), Krugh (13.55 meters), and Walker (12.48 meters) finished four, five, six in the shot put while Diehl took 12
th with a throw of 10.73 meters. Santoli took 21
st at 8.20 meters.
Christian Collura led the way for the jumpers as he took second overall in the high jump after clearing 1.83 meters (6'). Michael Deckert took fourth in the long jump (6.13 meters • 20' 1.5") while Jack Colonna finished seventh at 5.91 meters (19' 4.75"). Trent Olive finished 10
th at 5.74 meters (18' 10").
Aiden Corrigan () cleared 3.66 meters (12') to take ninth in the pole vault.
Deckert finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.57 meters (41' 3") and Colonna finished fifth at 12.45 meters (40' 10.25"). Olive finished sixth overall with a distance of 12.17 meters (39' 11.25") and
Paul Munoz (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) finished eighth at 11.95 meters (39' 2.5"). Collura finished ninth with a jump of 11.78 meters (38' 7.75").
On the track, a trio of Huskies qualified for the finals of the 110-meter hurdles as
Brandon Tillery (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) took sixth with a time of 16.02, Samuel Ciampittiello finished seventh (16.75), and
William Burdett (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) (16.92) finished eighth in the prelims. Burdett finished sixth overall at 15.83 while Tillery took seventh at 15.92 and Ciampittiello took eighth at 16.29.
Brittingham took 12
th in the 200-meter dash with a season-best time of 22.49 and Eli Butler took 17
th at 22.88.
Patrick Moore (Blakeslee, Pa./Commonwealth Charter Academy) finished 37
th at 23.72 and
Evan Mann (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) finished 46
th at 24.10. Bryce Pattillo finished 48
th with a time of 24.19.
Butler finished 10
th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.07 and Justin Delgado posted a personal-best time of 53.60 to finish 18
th overall. Mann finished 21
st overall with a time of 54.03.
Burdett posted a season-best time of 57.59 in the 400-meter hurdles to take third overall and Ciampittiello finished sixth with a time of 1:01.46.
Jordan Mann (Kunkletown, Pa./Palmerton) took 14
th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:02.19 and
Landon Kester (Benton, Pa./Benton) finished 24
th with a time of 2:05.63. Brenden Cunningham posted a personal-best time of 4:35.52 in the 1500-meter run to take 43
rd and Zachary Ryan ran a 4:53.86 to take 61
st.
Brittingham narrowly missed the finals for the 100-meter dash as he took ninth with a time of 11.21 in the prelims.
Patrick Moore (Blakeslee, Pa./Commonwealth Charter Academy) finished 15
th with a time of 11.44 and Trent Olive finished 29
th with a time of 11.87.
Paul Munoz (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) finished 37
th with a time of 11.97.
Earlier this weekend in the decathlon at Susquehanna,
Andrew Kane (Bradford, Pa./Bradford Area) finished sixth overall with 5302 total points. Kane took 10
th in the 100-meter dash (11.99) and second in the long jump (6.56 meters). Kane finished 10
th in the shot put with a throw of 8.93 meters and eighth in the high jump as he cleared 1.69 meters. He took seventh in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.61 and eighth in the 110-meter hurdles at 17.62. Kane finished eighth in the discus with a throw of 26.06 and cleared 3.80 meters in the pole vault to take second overall. Kane finished ninth in the javelin with a throw of 35.51 meters and third in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:07.59.
The rest of the Huskies finish out the Bison Outdoor Classic in Lewisburg, Pa. on Sunday.
