SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's track & field team posted a pair of event wins and one new Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying mark as they competed at the SU Mid-Week PR Bonanza at Shippensburg on Thursday.

Katrell Butler punched his ticket to the PSAC Championships by running a career-best 49.16 in the 400-meter. The Bloomsburg native's time secured him fifth place in the field of 32.

Butler joined Christopher Schearer,
Finnegan Purtle (/) and
Peter Tepper (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) in the 4x400-meter relay as they took first in the event with a time of 3:21.05.

Braeden Arnold (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) was victorious in the 3,00-meter steeplechase, running a time of 12:41.18.

On the track, three Huskies placed in the top ten of the 110-meter hurdles with Justin Herrmann leading the pack. Herrmann placed second with a time of 14.62 while Brian Tillery took seventh with a 15.94.
William Burdett (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) was .01 seconds behind Tillery in eighth place.

Burdett found himself in the top ten of the 400-meter hurdles as well, posting a 57.86 to finish in 6th.

Jordan Mann (Kunkletown, Pa./Palmerton) ran a 2:01.99 in the 800-meter while taking sixth in the event.

In the field, Bloomsburg claimed four of the top ten spots in the javelin throw.
Brian O'Connor () led the Huskies' contingent with a fifth-place finish and a throw of 53.04 meter (174' 0"). Josh Worthington took seventh with a 50.55-meter throw (165' 10") while Michael Farronato placed ninth with a 48.47-meter throw (159' 0"). Blake Polcha's throw of 48.33 meters (158' 7") earned him the final spot in the top ten.

Trevor Johnson (Kintnersville, Pa./Palisades) led a group of three Huskies who earned top ten placements in the long jump as he took sixth with a mark of 6.49 meters (21' 3.5"). Trent Olive recorded a 6.46-meter (21' 2.5") jump to take eighth while Michael Deckert's jump of 6.42 meters (21' .75") earned him ninth place.

Johnson also placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.58 meters (44' 6.75").

Michael Taylor placed fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 52.84 meters (173' 4").

Kaleb Zimmerman (Lancaster, Pa./Garden Spot) posted a throw of 43.22-meters (141' 9") in the discus throw to take tenth while also claiming eighth in the shot put with a mark of 15.29 meters (50' 2").

Track and Field is back in action on Saturday, April 25 as they host Senior Day and the Maroon and Gold Invite at Redman Stadium.
