- Issue Answer: Flag Football has been using Redman 7-11pm for the past couple years now. It has been an expanding Intramural program in terms of number of participants/teams. Our grass football fields are typically used until 6pm daily (not much daylight left after that), and the lighted Recreation Fields are used for club sport practices and other Intramural programs such as Softball. Therefore, as part of an ongoing partnership between Athletics and Campus Recreation, our turf fields are used by various club and IM groups, including flag football. In turn, Athletics will use Campus Recreation facilities for camps and tournaments when we are in need of extra space. As far as flag football practices, that is not something that Redman is being used for.

o "Haunted Husky Hollow" is a guided woods walk at the Quest Teambuilding woods. Participants walk through the path in groups of 5-10 with two tour guides. Within the woods are over 75 character actors who are dressed up as 'scarers'. The event will be held on Thursday, October 24th and Friday, October 25th from 7pm - 10pm. Our goal is to identify 8 different student groups or organizations who would like to take responsibility for a 'section' of the woods to recruit members from their group as 'character actors'. Each section would require about 10 character actors on any given night. Character actors would be responsible for bringing their own costumes/attire/make-up.

Nominees must also have represented his/her institution in a positive way during competition and must have demonstrated good citizenship outside of competition by fostering a good public image.
Opportunities:
DII SAAC At-Large Position:
Vacancy on the Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for an at-large student-athlete representative. (The at-large positions on the SAAC are intended to enhance diversity of representation, and all conferences are eligible to submit nominees).
2013 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Development:
The educational forum will provide pertinent and customized sessions that will enhance personal awareness and leadership skills needed to impact student-athlete development (need 1 female, 1 male, from two different sports, must have participating eligibility in 2013-14).
Roongo's Rewards Program:
This is an effort to attract more students to sporting events by offering points for attending BU home events. Once a student is registered they just need to scan the QR code (found in every program) to get the points for that game. Most games are 10 points, but values can be changed if there is a big event. Students can then trade those points in for prizes like coupons from Burger King; t-shirts; ski passes, Perkins coupons. The more points you earn the bigger the prize.
