Bloomsburg Men's Basketball Falls to Goldey-Beacom

Huskies fall on the road to Goldey-Beacom Tuesday nigh

WILMINGTON, DE-The Bloomsburg University men's basketball team lost to Goldey-Beacom College on Tuesday by a score of 75-62 in Wilmington, DE.

The Huskies started quickly in the game and led 16-10 in the early going. The home team though went on an 11-2 run to take a 21-18 lead. The teams would go on to be tied eight times before the Lightning slowly built the lead to 43-32 at the break.In the second half the Huskies cut the deficit to seven points on several occasions, but could get no closer. Goldey-Beacom stretched the lead to as many as 19 points before the Huskies cut the final margin to 13 points.

Bloomsburg, now 4-4, was led by Ed Hall (Spencerville, Paint Branch) with 14 points, while Larry Webster (Elkton, MD, Elkton) added 12 with Trevon Johnson (Snow Hill, MD, Snow Hill) getting 11 and Ruben Britt (Voorhees, NJ, Eastern Regional) 10.

Goldey-Beacom, 8-2, got 17 points from Azeed Ellegood, while Terrence Parkes added 16.

The Huskies will host Lock Haven on Saturday at 3 p.m.
