Men's Swim Team Tops Edinboro

BLOOMSBURG – The men's swim team downed Edinboro University on Saturday by a score of 141-121 at the Nelson Field House.

The 200-medley relay team of Mike Lightner (Lebanon, Cedar Crest), Nick Ortlieb (North Wales, North Penn), Juan Castaneda (Shamokin, Shamokin Area), and Mike Wallace (Bloomsburg, Bloomsburg) opened the meet taking first in a time of 1:37.63.

Wallace picked up a win in the 50-free with a final time of 21.94, while freshman Bryan Masilotti (Vineland, N.J., Vineland) finished second in a time of 22.08. Josh Cillo (Montoursville, Montoursville) took fourth in the event with a time of 22.57. Wallace also placed first in the 100-free with a final time of 48.05.

The Huskies also swept the 200-breast and 200-free relay. In the 200-breast Kyle Weisenbach (Lincoln University, Avon Grove) took first with a time of 2:17.49, while Dorsch finished second in a time of 2:18.85 The 200-free relay team of Ryan Lightner (Lebanon, Cedar Crest), Masilotti, M. Lightner, and Wallace finished in first with a final time of 1:28.06.

Ortlieb took first in the 100-breast with a time of 1:02.34, while Tim Dorsch (Schwenksville/Souderton Area) finished second with a time of 1:02.82. Michael Busada (Bloomsburg, Columbia County Christian) took third with a time of 1:02.85.

Bloomsburg 2-2 will travel to Clarion on Saturday for a meet at 1:00 p.m.
