Men's Swim Team Falls at Drexel

PHILADELPHIA – The Bloomsburg University men's swimming team performed at Drexel University on Saturday afternoon, as Drexel hosted the Huskies and Shippensburg. The Huskies fell to Shippensburg by a score of 146-114 and lost to Drexel, 157-97.
The 200-medley relay team ofMike Lightner (Lebanon, Cedar Crest), Michael Busada (Bloomsburg, Columbia County Christian), Juan Castaneda (Shamokin, Shamokin Area) and Bryan Masilotti (Vineland, N.J., Vineland) opened the meet taking second in a time of 1:39.57.

John King (Ridley Park/Ridley) (Ridley Park, Ridley) went on to second place in the 1000-free with a time of 10:12.60, while Erik Stefferud (West Chester, Henderson) placed third in the 200-IM in a time of 2:04.97.
In the 100-breast, Castaneda placed third with a time of 1:02.54 and took first in the 100-butterfly in a time of 51:21.
The Huskies ended the day with the team of Lightner, Ryan Lightner (Lebanon, Cedar Crest), Derek Straub (Sinking Spring, Wilson) and Masilotti taking second in the 400-free relay in a time of 3:22.40.

Bloomsburg 2-5, will travel to IUP for Saturday and Sunday, January 28 and 29.
