Women's Swim Team Beats Shippensburg

MEET RESULTS

BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's swim team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 115-90 win over Shippensburg on Tuesday.
 
Bloomsburg won six individual events, including a top-10 swim by Brittany McNeil (Oxford/Oxford Area).
 
McNeil, swimming in the 100-breast stroke, posted a winning time of 1:09.04, the eighth fastest time in school history. McNeil also owns the second fastest time in school history, 1:06.78, set last season.
 
Along with McNeil, Miranda Steel (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) won the 1000-free event, while Bridget Hilferty (Royersford/Perkiomen Valley) took first in the 200-free. In the 200-IM Madeline Barlow (Yardley/Pennsbury) took first, while Kelsey Brooker (Stevens/Cocalico) reached the wall first in 1:01.50. In the 100-back the Huskies Taylor Straub (Sinking Spring/Wilson ) was first.
 
Bloomsburg will host an Alumni Meet on Saturday.
