CALIFORNIA, PA—The Bloomsburg University men's basketball team (7-1, 4-0 PSAC) extended their win streak to seven games with a 71-65 win over the Vulcans of California (Pa.) California claimed a 12-2 lead just 4:40 into the game but the Huskies went on a 12-1 run over the next 5:50 to take a one point lead.  However, the Vulcans took control of the first half, going up by as many as seven points and entered halftime with a 35-32 lead.

Bloomsburg's Nnamdi Njoku (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) played a large role in keeping the Huskies in the first half as he came off the bench to score nine points.  Ed Hall (Washington, DC/Paint Branch) was limited to three points in the first but was able to provide relief on the boards with six first half rebounds.

The Huskies opened the first 8:55 of the second half with an 18-7 run to take a 50-42 lead.  During the nearly nine minute stretch, five different Huskies scored buckets, in which John Schwarz (Delta/Perry Hall) contributed six points.

From there, California would pull to within four points of the Bloomsburg lead but that was as close as they would get as BU took the PSAC match-up 71-65.

Trevon Johnson (Snow Hill, MD/Snow Hill) led the Huskies with 14 points, five assists, and five rebounds.  Njoku added 12 points from off the bench and Lorenzo Christmas (Norristown/Norristown) contributed another 11.  Dontahe Jordan (Williamsport/Williamsport) and Ed Hall (Washington, DC/Paint Branch) each scored 10 points in addition to Hall pulling down 10 rebounds.
