Box Score BOX SCORE

ERIE—The Bloomsburg University men's basketball team (9-3, 5-2 PSAC) picked up their third loss of the season as they fell on the road to the Golden Knights of Gannon University (7-4, 5-2 PSAC), 81-67.  Dontahe Jordan (Williamsport/Williamsport) scored a team high 15 points but Bloomsburg was unable to overcome a 17 point halftime deficit as the Huskies dropped their second conference game of the season.

The opening five minutes of play was very close as the teams traded leads.  Bloomsburg held a 12-9 lead with 14:56 left in the first half following a John Schwarz (Delta/Perry Hall) jumper.

However, the Golden Knights would go on a 23-4 run over the next 10 minutes to take a commanding 32-16 lead.  From there Gannon outscored the Huskies 13-12 to close out the first half, claiming a 45-28 lead entering halftime.

Larry Webster (Hagerstown, MD/Elkton) III was a perfect 5-5 from the field in the half, leading to 11 first half points.

Bloomsburg would outscore Gannon in the second half but it would not be enough as the Golden Knights took the game 81-67.  Dontahe Jordan (Williamsport/Williamsport) would score 10 of his 15 points in the second half while Schwarz scored eight of his 10 in the second as well.

Webster was limited to just one point in the second half as he finished with 12 for the game to go along with nine boards.  Bloomsburg's perimeter shooting played a large role in tonight's outcome as the Huskies struggled to find their range from beyond the arc, going 5-18 from the three point line.

For the Golden Knights, five players finished with 10 points or more with Oscar Macias scoring a game high 18 points.

The Huskies will look to avenge today's loss as the Huskies travel to Clarion, PA to take on Clarion University in a PSAC crossover game.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
