BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team (10-8, 6-0 PSAC East) fell to no. 41 Indiana Pa. (20-6, 4-1 PSAC West), 5-0 in the semifinals of the PSAC Championships.  With the loss, Bloomsburg moves into the third place match while the Crimson Hawks advance to tonight's PSAC Championship match against California Pa.

Bloomsburg, the number one seed in the East, dropped all three doubles matches to start off the tournament.  Michelle Perez (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) and Emily Palko (McMurray/Peters Township) lost by a single break at the number one spot, 8-5.  The duo's 11 match win streak comes to an end with today's loss.

With a 3-0 lead, the Crimson Hawks picked up singles wins at fourth and fifth singles to seal the win.  Indiana's Abby McCormick earned the deciding point with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the four spot.

Several matches were left unfinished as matches were halted once a team winner was decided.  Bloomsburg's Palko was leading 4-2 in a first set tiebreaker at second singles before the match was stopped.  The Huskies trailed by a set in each of the remaining three singles matches.

With the loss, Bloomsburg will take on Kutztown tomorrow in the consolation match for third place.  Match-time is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. with weather permitting.
