BLOOMSBURG -- The Bloomsburg University men's and women's basketball teams continue Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division play on Saturday, Jan. 19 at Cheyney University. Tipoff for the women's game at Cope Hall is set for 1 p.m. with the men following at 3 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on WHLM (930-AM) based out of Bloomsburg with Jim Doyle and Larry White calling all the action. In addition, listeners throughout the world can listen to the game live on BU's website at www.buhuskies.com. The pre-game show will begin 20 minutes before tipoff.
WOMEN
MATCH UP: The Huskies (11-3, 7-3 PSAC) have won four in a row and have not allowed an opponent to score more than 55 points in four consecutive games. Bloomsburg has swept the season series the last two seasons and has not lost at Cheyney (0-13, 0-10 PSAC) since the 2008-09 season (68-63). Last year's 86-30 victory marked the fewest points allowed by Bloomsburg since beating Penn State Schuylkill 65-30 in the 2008-09 season, while the 56-point margin of victory was the biggest for Bloomsburg since beating Penn State Schuylkill 100-44 in the first game of the 2010-11 season.
THE LAST TIME: Dana Wieller (Bethlehem/Liberty) scored 19 points to lead four players in double figures as Bloomsburg ran away from Cheyney, 86-30. Wieller was red-hot right from the start hitting four three-pointers in the first seven minutes of the game as the Huskies raced out to a 16-0 lead on the Wolves. Cheyney finally got on the board with 11:34 to go in the first half when Shanavia Thomas hit a jumper making it 16-2. All 10 players for Bloomsburg scored in the game and all 10 players saw at least 12 minutes of playing time. Along with Wieller scoring 19 points, Kelsey Gallagher added 13 points with Catherine Noack (Bethlehem/Liberty) getting 12 and Marla Simmons (Lebanon/Cedar Crest) 10. Defensively, the Huskies held Cheyney to just 18 percent shooting for the game (11-61) and forced 21 turnovers.

MEN
MATCH UP: The Huskies (4-10, 2-8 PSAC) snapped their two-game winning streak on Wednesday against Shippensburg. It swept the season series last season including a 10-point win on the road, 82-72. BU has also won the previous two games at Cheyney (5-9, 3-7), and haven't lost at Cope Hall since the 2009-10 season, 73-52. However, Cheyney leads the overall series, 66-63.
THE LAST TIME: Four players from Bloomsburg finished with double figures as the Huskies downed Cheyney, 82-72. Dontahe Jordan (Williamsport/Williamsport) led all scorers with 22 points while Larry Webster recorded his third double-double in four games with a season-high 21 points and 11 rebounds. Bloomsburg controlled the first half, never trailing at any point and only allowed the score to be tied four times. At the 6:25 mark of the half BU led 24-22 but used a 9-2 run to claim a 33-24 lead, their largest of the half. From there Bloomsburg would take a 37- 32 lead into halftime. Trevon Johnson added another 12 points in addition to four assists. John Schwarz (Delta/Perry Hall) chipped in 10 points. For the Wolves, Brandon Baylor and Jason Sabb each scored 19 points. Sabb also pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.
