LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's basketball team won its fourth straight game in grind-it-out fashion Saturday afternoon, rallying from an early double-digit deficit to score a 62-57 triumph at Lock Haven's Thomas Fieldhouse.

Dontahe Jordan (Williamsport/Williamsport) powered the offensive attack for the Huskies (4-1, 2-0 PSAC East) with 18 points while Alssene Saintilus (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) posted his best offensive day in maroon and gold with 16 points to go along with six rebounds.

Lock Haven (2-2, 1-1 PSAC East) seized the momentum early, stretching its lead to 11 at 26-15 with just over five minutes remaining in the opening period. Bloomsburg roared back, however, with the help of its full court press as part of an 11-3 run to end the half and cut the LHU advantage to 29-26 at intermission.

Nearly the entire second half was played with the two teams separated by only one possession. A layup from Charles Haigler (Charles Town, WV/Hargrave Military Academy) with 11:20 left to play gave the Huskies a 41-39 lead, their first edge since leading 2-0 in the opening seconds of the game. Lock Haven eventually re-took the lead at 49-47 four minutes later on a three-point play from Kasheef Festus, but a jumper from Wes Lyons (Millville/Millville) on the other end tied the game once more.

Saintilus was dominant in the second half, scoring 12 of his 16 points after the break. His layup with 3:40 remaining gave the Huskies an advantage they never relinquished and came as part of an 8-0 run to give Bloomsburg full control of the game in the final minutes. Saintilus finished the day perfect from the floor, hitting all seven shots he attempted.

The Huskies won the battle of the boards by a 42-31 margin and shot nearly 44 percent from the floor (25-of-57).

Wali Hepburn led the Lock Haven offense with 18 points and Festus added 15 points.

Bloomsburg is off until Wednesday, Dec. 4 when it hosts Cheyney in PSAC East competition at 7:30 p.m. inside Nelson Field House.
