EDINBORO, Pa. – A second half rally by the Bloomsburg women's soccer team fell short as the Huskies dropped a 4-2 decision at Edinboro's Sox Harrison Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The Huskies trailed 3-0 at halftime, but two second half goals changed the complexion of the match.

Bloomsburg (3-5, 2-5 PSAC) broke through in the 60th minute when Jenna Fisher (Selinsgrove/Selinsgrove) tallied her fourth goal of the year. Fisher took the ball on a bounce and was able to find the net on a shot over the head of the Boro keeper.

Eleven minutes later, Tara Huber (Orefield/Parkland) struck to draw the Huskies to within a score. Huber's third goal of the season and 24th of her career moves the senior forward into ninth all-time in Huskies history.

Edinboro (4-3, 2-3 PSAC) answered, however, by stemming the tide in the 77th minute. Liz Debo scored her second goal of the game on a header shot to allow the Fighting Scots to reclaim a two-goal lead.

The hosts seized control early, scoring the first goal of the contest in the seventh minute. The Fighting Scots set up the score on a through pass from Becca Costello and Debo was able to finish for the goal. Edinboro struck again in the 16th minute, this time on a header goal from Ashley DeVito off a corner kick.

The first half blitz was capped by a third goal when Brittany Shipley scored just 47 seconds before intermission.

Edinboro held the edge in shots, 17-12, while Bloomsburg earned five corner kicks to Edinboro's four. Huber registered five shots to lead the Huskies offense.

Victoria Albert (Clear Spring, MD/Clear Spring) played all 90 minutes in net and made one save for Bloomsburg. Meghan Kelly earned the win for Edinboro with four saves.

Bloomsburg returns home to Sports Stadium on Thursday afternoon to host non-conference Davis & Elkins at 4:00 p.m.
