MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Millersville drained 15 3-pointers as part of an 88-77 victory over the Bloomsburg University men's basketball team on Wednesday night at Pucillo Gymnasium.

Millersville moves to 9-9 overall along with a 5-4 mark in PSAC East play. Bloomsburg now stands at 10-8, 6-3.

The Huskies received two strong statistical performances from seniors Lorenzo Christmas (Norristown/Norristown) and Dontahe Jordan (Williamsport/Williamsport). Christmas led all scorers with 23 points including 5-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc, but was limited to just 20 minutes on the floor due to foul trouble. Jordan posted 19 points and 14 rebounds,  the most boards by any Husky in a single game this season. Sophomore guard Charles Haigler (Charles Town, WV/Hargrave Military Academy) added 10 points on the night.

Bloomsburg led by four before the first media timeout and things remained tight through much of the first half before Millersville stretched a nine-point lead at 33-24 following a trey from Tyree Smith. The Huskies closed to within three at 34-31 following a layup from Jordan with 4:46 left in the half, but it would be as close as Bloomsburg would get as Millersville took a 43-36 lead into halftime.

After eight 3-pointers in the first half, Millersville remained hot from the perimeter right out of the locker room, moving its lead to 10 on a three from Kyle Richardson to begin the second half. The Huskies closed to four again at 46-40 following free throws from Christmas and a lay-in by Jon Riles (Philadelphia/Academy of the New Church), but the Marauders put together a 9-0 run to take control at 55-40 before the first media timeout of the half.

Bloomsburg chipped to within eight points, 56-48, following another three from Christmas and with plenty of time remaining at over 14 minutes to go. Millersville quickly answered with yet another 3-pointer, though, this time from Brandon Brown to extend the lead to double digits once more.

Millersville took its largest lead of the game with a 66-50 score at the 10:03 mark, but the Huskies embarked on a 15-6 run to close within seven points with 6:06 remaining.

The Marauders played long ball yet again on its next possession to snuff out the Bloomsburg rally effort, however, on a 3-pointer from Nate Bollinger for a 10-point lead again at 75-65.

From there, Bloomsburg pulled within seven (84-77) with just over a minute left following free throws by Zach Sheetz (Landisville/Hempfield), but it would be as close as the Huskies would get.

Kelvin Parker netted 20 points to power Millersville and Tyree Smith registered 13 points.

For Millersville, the win avenged an 83-77 victory by the Huskies at Nelson Field House in November to even the season series.

Bloomsburg will host Lock Haven at Nelson Field House on Saturday at 3 p.m. as part of the Huskies Super Weekend of events.
