STORYLINE
The Huskies travel to Nashville, Tenn., to play at Trevecca Nazarene University on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Bloomsburg played in Greeneville, Tenn., at Tusculum College last weekend. This weekend's trip brings tough competition in the form of PSAC foe Mercyhurst, nationally-ranked Grand Valley State and host Trevecca Nazarene, which has won 14 games in a row.
LEADING THE PACK
Brad Smith: Recorded a hit in 11 of 12 games this season.
Joey Casselberry: Has 13 RBI on the season, which leads Bloomsburg and is good for third in the PSAC.
Damin Muth: His .677 on base percentage leads all qualified players in the PSAC.
Nick Mazza: Leads the team in runs scored with 10
STARTING STRONG
The Bloomsburg University baseball team has a 6-6 record through its first 12 games of the 2014 season. Several players for the Huskies have gotten off to strong starts at the plate. Four players are hitting over .300 on the season, led by
Damin Muth, who is hitting .545 on the year.
Brad Smith and
Joey Casselberry follow with batting averages of .333 and .319 respectively. Casselberry leads the team with 13 RBI and is tied for the team lead in runs scored with 10.
Eric Frain rounds out the group with exactly a .300 average. In addition, all four Huskies that are hitting higher than .300 have 12 or more hits on the year. Frain, Casselberry and Smith are tied for most hits on the team with 15 each, with Muth following with 12 hits in 22 at-bats.

SCOUTING MERCYHURST
The Lakers swept a doubleheader this past weekend at Chowan (NC) University and then split a pair of games at Winston-Salem State on Tuesday. Junior pitcher Dan Altavilla struck out a career-high ten batters in game one vs. Chowan for a complete game shutout. Ryan Siegel leads the team with a .433 batting average and paces in runs scored with seven. The Lakers are hitting .313 as a team while posting a team ERA of 3.34.

SCOUTING GRAND VALLEY STATE
The 11th-ranked Grand Valley State baseball team swept Upper Iowa this past weekend, improving their record to 7-3. Jesse Abel finished the day by going 4-for-7 with two runs, four RBIs and a walk, including his first home run of the season. Kevin Zak finished 4-for-4 at the plate with three runs, a walk, RBI and a stolen base. His four hits are the most by a Laker so far this season. Abel leads the team with a .500 batting average with Aaron Overbeck behind him with a .438 batting average.

SCOUTING TREVECCA NAZARENE
Trevecca Nazarene University (15-2) baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader over Rockhurst University (0-4) this past Saturday and the rallied past Tusculum, 9-8, on Tuesday. Pitchers Bryan Smith and Alex Shoulders tallied the win for the Trojans in the two games against Rockhurst. Eight regular starters are batting over .300, led by Ethan Hurt (.451), Nick Howell (.379), Jeffrey Sacrritt (.367) and Tyler Tichenor (.349). The team has a .959 fielding percentage and a 2.33 team ERA. The Trojans are on a 14-game winning streak entering their own Baseball Classic this weekend.
