SCOUTING SHIPPENSBURG
-The Raiders will try to turn the tide on Wednesday after losing three in a row vs. Millersville before salvaging an 8-1 game two win on Sunday. The first three games were all difficult losses by two runs or less – Shippensburg dropped Saturday's doubleheader on the road by scores of 2-1 and 2-0 before losing game one at home on Sunday, 1-0.

-Shippensburg has been much better at home than on the road this year, posting a 14-3 mark at its home Fairchild Field but has gone 6-7 on the road.

-Four Raiders are hitting better than .300 this season – junior infielder Jimmy Spanos (.367), senior infielder/pitcher Pat Kregeloh (.345), senior outfielder Michael Douglas (.333) and junior first baseman Cody Ezolt (.327). As a team, the Raiders are batting .290 on the year. Spanos leads the team in multi-hit games with 15.

-Shippensburg has a 3.25 team ERA led by top two starters Marcus Shippey (2-3, 1.84 ERA) and Kregeloh (3-2, 3.28).

LAST MEETING
The two teams met on April 1 at Shippensburg when the Raiders were then ranked No. 11 in the nation. Bloomsburg dropped a heartbreaker, 3-2, in the first game when Shippensburg scored the game-winning run on a Cody Ezolt single through the left side in the sixth inning. Casey Cooperman (Allentown/Parkland) was tagged with a tough-luck loss, allowing only two earned runs in his six innings of work with one walk and five strikeouts.

In the nightcap, the Huskies bounced back for a 7-6 victory. Nick Mazza (Carbondale/Carbondale) went 3-for-4 with two runs while Joey Casselberry (Eagleville/Methacton), Brad Smith (Morgantown/Twin Valley) and Brady West (Harleysville/North Penn) all had an RBI. Matt Jaskolka (Warren/Warren Area) earned the win with four innings of work, allowing four runs on five hits and Tyler Hill (Lehighton/Lehighton) picked up the save with two innings out of the bullpen, allowing a run on one hit with three strikeouts.
