Clarion Season Stats STORYLINEBloomsburg takes a trip out of conference play by traveling to PSAC West opponent Clarion on Wednesday afternoon. The doubleheader was originally scheduled for Tuesday but postponed a day while the previously scheduled home doubleheader vs. Clarion has been postponed and a makeup date has not been announced.
SCOUTING CLARION-Clarion is looking to snap a seven-game losing streak on Wednesday. Included in the skid are doubleheader losses to Slippery Rock and four straight setbacks vs. nationally-ranked Seton Hill.
-Wednesday's games are slated to be the Golden Eagles first contests of the year at home after playing their initial 22 games away from home.
-The Golden Eagles are batting .237 as a team and are led by freshman first baseman Tyler Falk who is hitting .340 with eight RBIs on the year as well as junior outfielder Joe Holmberg who is batting .340 with eight RBIs as well.
-Freshman Kane McCall leads the pitching staff with a 3-3 record and 3.82 ERA in five starts while senior Brett Whitman (0-5, 4.05) has been the team's No. 2 starter.

Bloomsburg leads 7-2The Huskies swept a doubleheader from Clarion at home last season, setting school records for single game runs scored (30), hits (29) and RBIs (28) in a 30-2 game one victory before scoring an 11-1 win in the second game.
IN THE RANKINGSThe Huskies fared well against the top two teams in the region last week, splitting a Tuesday doubleheader at No. 11 Shippensburg before going 2-2 with No. 21 Millersville over the weekend. As a result, Bloomsburg continues to receive votes in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Atlantic region poll. Shippensburg continues to rank first in the region while Seton Hill jumps to second ahead of Millersville, East Stroudsburg and Mercyhurst. Shepherd (W. Va.), Concord (W. Va.), Slippery Rock, Winston-Salem (N.C.) and Kutztown complete the poll.
HUSKIES PITCHING RANKS HIGH NATIONALLYBloomsburg leads the PSAC in team ERA this season and ranks 15th in all of Division II at 2.81. LIU Post leads the country at 2.03.
Casey Cooperman (Allentown/Parkland) ranks eighth in the PSAC with a 2.09 ERA;
Tyler Hill (Lehighton/Lehighton) is 10th at 2.32 and
Matt Jaskolka (Warren/Warren Area) is 17th at 3.12 among all pitchers meeting the minimum innings pitched requirement.
KEEP PUMPING STRIKESA key to the success of the Huskies pitching staff this year has been its ability to consistently throw strikes. Bloomsburg ranks third in the PSAC and 23rd in the nation in walks allowed per nine innings (2.65).
TAKING ONE FOR THE TEAMSophomore
Joey Casselberry (Eagleville/Methacton) has gotten on base the hard way often this season, being hit by a pitch 11 times. Only Seton Hill's Brandon Jossey (12 times) has been hit more among all PSAC players.
