ABOUT MANSFIELD
Mansfield slipped from third place in the PSAC East with a disappointing 75-71 setback at Shippensburg on Saturday to fall to 4-7 in the conference despite junior guard Thomas Moore netting a career high 23 points. Thirty-one fouls hampered the Mountaineers in Saturday's loss.

The Mountaineers rank 11th in the PSAC in scoring at 71.5 ppg and 12th in defense, allowing 74.1 ppg. Mansfield has shot the ball very well, ranking fourth at 47.2 percent from the floor. While the Mountaineers turn the ball over 15.7 times per game, they have not forced a high number from opponents, ranking next-to-last in the PSAC in turnover margin at -2.87.

2013-14 All-PSAC East First Team selection Joe Bell, a senior, leads the team in scoring at 14.9 ppg to rank eighth in the PSAC. Senior forward Charles Pemberton (14.7 ppg) and Moore (13.6) also give Mansfield strong scoring threats.

LAST MEETING / SERIES HISTORY
Bloomsburg leads 101-72

Wednesday marks the 174th meeting between Bloomsburg and Mansfield in men's basketball. The Huskies swept last year's season series, the first sweep for BU against Mansfield since 2011-12.

The Huskies won the last meeting between the two teams, 89-80, at Decker Gymnasium on Feb. 22, 2014. On that day, the Huskies trailed by 16 points with 12 minutes to play. Bloomsburg, however, went on a 23-0 run to stun the Mountaineers. Jon Riles (Philadelphia/Academy of the New Church) posted a career high 26 points on 8-of-13 shooting while Charles Haigler (Charles Town, WV/Hargrave Military Academy) added 13 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double.

TWEETABLES
Huskies facts in 140 characters or less

-Bloomsburg hit 11 3-pointers in Saturday's win over West Chester (11-of-25), the second-highest total of the year. The Huskies had 13 3's vs. Penn State Lehigh Valley.

-The Huskies have hit 10 or more 3-pointers four times this season (at Cheyney and Clarion; vs. PSU Lehigh Valley and West Chester).

-Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) has made at least one 3-pointer in 10 of 13 games this year. He has attempted at least one shot from beyond the arc in every game he has played.

-Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant/Mid-Valley) has hit multiple 3-pointers in four straight games - he's shot 10-for-19 from beyond the arc during that span.

-Moustapha Noumbissi (Upper Darby/Delaware County Christian School) has at least one block in 10 games this season including multiple blocks in six contests.

-Jon Riles (Philadelphia/Academy of the New Church) enters Wednesday holding a streak of 41 straight games played with at least one assist.

-Riles' nine assists vs. West Chester tied his most in a Huskies uniform, equaling a total he posted in an early season victory over Adelphi.

-Riles is fourth in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.1).

-Charles Haigler (Charles Town, WV/Hargrave Military Academy) has at least one steal in 20 straight contests. Haigler ranks third in the PSAC in steals at 2.4 per game.

-Haigler had a streak of 36 straight games with points scored snapped with a scoreless outing last Wednesday at Slippery Rock.

PSAC EAST LOG JAM
The Huskies remain right in the thick of the PSAC East standings after their victory over West Chester this past Saturday.

While East Stroudsburg (7-3) and Kutztown (7-4) have separated themselves a bit from the pack, spots three through eight are all packed together. West Chester (5-6), Shippensburg (4-6), Lock Haven (4-6), Millersville (4-7), Mansfield (4-7) and Bloomsburg (4-7) all are within one game of each other in the loss column as divisional play begins in earnest. Only Cheyney (0-10) appears to be on the outside of the playoff picture looking in.

FRESHMEN SHARPSHOOTERS
Bloomsburg has two standout freshmen who have proven to be sharpshooters this season - true freshman Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant/Mid-Valley) and redshirt freshman Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) have both been outstanding long range shooters on the year.

Prislupsky has hit 48.1 percent of his 3-point attempts, best on the team. He does not qualify among the PSAC leaders for 3-point percentage as he averages 1.9 3's per game, just under the 2.0 required to qualify, however, among qualified players, Prislupsky would rank third in the PSAC in 3-point shooting (only Seton Hill's Noah Davis, 54.1% and UPJ's A.J. Leahey, 50.0% would rank higher).

Mortellite, meanwhile, is shooting 39.2 percent from 3-pointers after hitting his 20th of the year during the win over West Chester.

As a team, the Huskies are shooting 36.4 percent from 3-pointers, fifth in the PSAC.
