ABOUT SHIP
It has been a turnaround season for the Raiders so far, as Shippensburg is in the thick of the PSAC East playoff picture just a season removed from a 3-23 campaign with a 1-15 mark in the conference. This year, the Raiders surpassed their 2013-14 win total before Thanksgiving and have won back-to-back games at Cheyney (89-82) and vs. Lock Haven (74-67) entering Saturday. Shippensburg has been a much better team at home, winning eight of its 10 games at Heiges Field House.

The Raiders rank 12th in the PSAC in scoring offense at 71.3 points per game and seventh in scoring defense while allowing 68.6 ppg. Shippensburg shoots very well - at 47 percent from the floor, the Raiders are fifth in the conference. Dylan Edgar, who missed all of last year with injury, has been a big boost in the post as he averages 16.4 points (fifth in the PSAC) and leads the conference with 9.4 rebounds per game.

LAST MEETING / SERIES HISTORY
Bloomsburg leads 101-67

Bloomsburg has the upper hand in the long-running series which dates back to the 1910-11 season when Shippensburg won the first-ever meeting, 33-9. Shippensburg swept the season series in 2012-13 after Bloomsburg won both games during the 2011-12 campaign. The Huskies continued the trend of alternating season sweeps by taking both games from the Raiders last year - winning at Shippensburg, 80-61, in the first meeting on the road before capping the season sweep with a dominating 78-53 win at Nelson Field House on Feb. 8 behind 15 points, five rebounds and four assists from Charles Haigler (Charles Town, WV/Hargrave Military Academy). On the last meeting, Bloomsburg held on for a 76-73 victory. Bloomsburg took control with a 30-10 run to end the first half. Shippensburg battled back, though, to a 71-70 score with 18 seconds to go. A jump ball was signaled and the possession arrow favored the Huskies. Shippensburg head coach Chris Fite was whistled for a technical foul arguing the call, leading to a pair of free throws from Riles. Bloomsburg retained possession, forcing Shippensburg to foul and send Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) to the line and the redshirt freshman calmly sank both to make it a two-score game and all but put things out of reach with 14 seconds to go.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
> 5 - The Huskies had five players in double-figure scoring last Saturday at Lock Haven (Alssene Saintilus (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown), Jon Riles (Philadelphia/Academy of the New Church), Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton), Charles Haigler (Charles Town, WV/Hargrave Military Academy) and Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant/Mid-Valley)). It was the second time this year that the Huskies have had five players score in double figures - they also did so in the win at Cheyney in November.

> 21 - Redshirt freshman Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) had made 21 consecutive free throw attempts until a miss Wednesday vs. Cheyney.

> 77.7 - At 77.7 points per game, the Huskies are averaging the second-most points in the PSAC behind only East Stroudsburg (86.2 ppg).

> 95.7% - Entering this week, redshirt freshman Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) led the entire PSAC in free throw percentage at 95.7 percent. That total ranked second in all of Division II with only Troy Hammel of Merrimack (49-of-51, 96.1 percent) ranking better at the foul line. Mortellite went 6-of-8 at the line Wednesday and his percentage is now 92.7 for the year. It was the first time all year that Mortellite has missed more than one foul shot in a game and marked his first miss since Jan. 10 vs. West Chester.

> 100 - Huskies head coach John Sanow recorded his 100th career victory on Wednesday night vs. Cheyney.

> 135 - Alssene Saintilus (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) gets to the line more than any other player in the PSAC. He has 135 free throw attempts this year, most in the conference. He is a 72 percent free throw shooter on the year.
