LAST MEETING / SERIES HISTORY
Bloomsburg leads 65-63West Chester won two of three meetings last season as the squads met in the postseason with the Golden Rams holding on for a 99-88 PSAC quarterfinal victory in March. The Golden Rams have owned the recent history, winning seven of the past eight games between the teams.
In last year's PSAC quarterfinals, West Chester used a 22-4 run to take an 18-point first half lead. Bloomsburg chipped the deficit away to single digits, and an 8-0 run late in the going pulled the Huskies within 88-83 with 2:44 to go. The Golden Rams stretched to a 90-83 edge, but back-to-back 3-pointers from
Jon Riles (Philadelphia/Academy of the New Church) and
Andrew Morgan (New Brunswick, NJ/St. Joseph's) made it 93-89 with 1:46 remaining. The Huskies could get no closer, however, and the Rams iced the game away at the foul line in the final minute.
Alssene Saintilus (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) tallied a career-high 23 points on 7-of-9 shooting including 9-of-13 at the foul line.
Jon Riles (Philadelphia/Academy of the New Church) finished with 10 points. Troy Hockaday powered WCU with 21 points and R.J. Griffin registered 17.
