SCORESWEST CHESTER--The Bloomsburg University men's swim team opened its 2015-16 season with a tri-meet at West Chester with Lehigh University. The Huskies lost to West Chester, 156-81, and were just edged by Division I Lehigh, 103-101. (Note...diving scores, which Bloomsburg doesn't have, were factored into the meet scoring.)
The Huskies put everyone on notice when they opened the meet with a win in the 400-medley relay with the team of
Ryan Paisley (Hazleton, Pa/Hazleton Area),
Jake Harner (Philadelphia/Father Judge),
Eric Usbeck (Lake Ariel/Wallenpaupack Area) and
Kyle Dix (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) finishing in 3:27.27, the fifth best time in school history. In the 200-free
Alex Otero (Allentown/Parkland) was fourth in 1:45.17, while
Alex McCullough (Pottstown/OJ Roberts) was fifth in 1:45.61.

In the 50-free
Eric Usbeck (Lake Ariel/Wallenpaupack Area) won the 50-free in 21.12 seconds, missing by .20 seconds of an NCAA provisional qualifying time. In the 200-IM
Jake Harner (Philadelphia/Father Judge) took third in 1:56.35, while in the 200-IM
Sam Feiser (Pottstown/OJ Roberts) was fourth in 1:58.99.

Paisley and Dix came back in the 100-free taking third and fourth respectively with Paisley finishing in 46.49 and Dix going 48.01.

In the 200-backstroke,
A.J. Brady (Wilmington, DE/Delaware Military Academy) was fourth in 1:59.41, while in the 500-free McCullough was fourth in 4:56.43.

In the 200-breast, Harner took second in 2:09.97, while
Paul Rocchi (Philadelphia/Archbishop Ryan) was third in 2:12.90.

In the final relay of the meet the Huskies again took top honors with the team of Usbeck, Brady,
Josh Grzech (Mountain Top/Crestwood) and
Sam Feiser (Pottstown/OJ Roberts) winning in 1:25.11 with the team of Otero,
Ryan Sullivan (Lebanon/Cedar Crest),
Nick Angeny (Philadelphia/Archbishop Ryan) and
Pat Stasio (Horsham/Hatboro Horsham) getting fourth in 1:28.47.
