1:00 PM – Tippin Natatorium (Clarion, Pa.) The Bloomsburg University men's swimming team jumps back into the pool on Saturday, November 14, when it travels to Clarion University to compete against the Golden Eagles. Start time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. from Tippin Natatorium.
The Huskies last competed a week ago, Saturday, November 7, when they handled Gannon University by a score of 117-85 at the Nelson Field House Pool. Against the Golden Knights, Bloomsburg posted 15 new PSAC qualifying marks while junior
Ryan Paisley (Hazleton/Hazleton Area) posted the PSAC's fastest time in the 200-meter butterfly (1:55.96). Paisley also joined senior
Jake Harner (Philadelphia/Father Judge), junior
Eric Usbeck (Lake Ariel/Wallenpaupack Area), and freshman
Kyle Dix (Schwenksville/Perkiomen Valley) for the league's best time in the 200-meter medley relay (1:32.47) during the victory.
For his efforts, Paisley was named the PSAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week.
The night before, Bloomsburg defeated Dickinson College, 108-86, also at the Nelson Field House Pool. The Huskies compiled 31 PSAC qualifying times during their victory over the Red Devils.
Clarion enters the meet with a 2-3 overall record but has lost two straight. The Golden Eagles dropped a 116-89 setback against Shippensburg on November 7 and suffered a 216-83 loss to Carnegie Mellon on October 31.
Freshman Taylor Wesselhoft captured victories in the 1000-meter freestyle (10:13.07) and the 500-meter freestyle (4:58.32) while fellow rookie, Nathan Porter, won the 200-meter freestyle (1:47.84) in the loss to Shippensburg during the team's most recent action.
