ABOUT WCUThe Golden Rams have won six consecutive games entering Wednesday, shooting up the PSAC East standings into third and just a game out of a bye after already locking up a playoff spot.
West Chester has won its last four games by single digits - 79-72 at Millersville on Jan. 28, a quadruple overtime classic at Kutztown, 97-96, on Jan. 31, and wins over Lock Haven (76-75) and Shippensburg (56-52) in their last two times out.
WCU ranks third in scoring in the PSAC at 76.5 ppg and 13th in defense, allowing 74.3 points per contest. West Chester is one of the league's highest scoring teams despite ranking 13th in field goal percentage (42.4 percent) and 17th in 3-point percentage (30.0 percent). That's partially because the Golden Rams are so strong on the offensive glass - their 15.9 offensive rebounds per game are second only to Slippery Rock (18.6) among PSAC teams while their overall rebounding margin of +8.0 is third in the conference.
The Golden Rams spread the wealth offensively - senior forward Cory Blake scores 13.5 points per game, but seven players average between 7.3 and 9.0 points per contest.
