SCOUTING MILLERSVILLEThe Marauders vaulted into the national rankings at No. 28 in the Collegiate Baseball Division II poll. Millersville was also the first team receiving votes outside the Top 25 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll, a set of rankings Millersville rose to No. 18 in earlier this season.
Â
Millersville enters this weekend's series as winners of eight straight after sweeping a four-game series from Lock Haven and also scoring doubleheader victories over East Stroudsburg and Chestnut Hill. Since returning home from spring trips, Millersville has won 11 of 14 games in Pennsylvania.
Â
Millersville ranks third in the PSAC in team batting average, hitting .326 as a team and is second in team ERA at 3.75. Chas McCormick and David Summerfield each rank inside the league's top 10 in batting, hitting .426 and .416 respectively while Dan Stoltzfus and Tyler McDonald have blasted four home runs. Marauders career wins leader Chris Murphy (28 wins) is again one of the PSAC's top arms, posting a perfect 6-0 record with a 1.23 ERA.
Â
LAST YEAR'S SERIESThe Huskies and Marauders split last year's season series, with each team winning one of two on the road including a pair of extra inning games - one that went to the Huskies at Millersville (4-2, nine innings) and one that went to the Marauders at Danny Litwhiler Field (4-2, eight innings).
Damin Muth (Breinigsville/Parkland) batted .364 in the series (4-for-11) with a home run.
Tim Ravel (Sinking Spring/Wilson) hit .333 (4-for-12) with 4 RBIs.
Ryuta Amaike (Whitehall/Whitehall) won head-to-head with Chris Murphy with a complete game and
Tyler Hill (Lehighton/Lehighton) struck out seven Marauders in his one start against Millersville.

Edgette also leads the team in multi-hit games with five entering this weekend. Benson also enters Saturday's games having reached base in eight straight games, longest on the team, while Edgette is just behind with seven straight games of reaching base safely.
Â
PENCIL IT INSenior
Eric Frain (Philadelphia/Archbishop Ryan) is the only Huskies player to start every game at the same position while hitting in the same spot in the lineup. He has started at third base while leading off in all 14 games so far this season.
Â
WEATHER TROUBLES CONTINUELike nearly every game this season, this weekend's series has also been altered due to inclement weather. Originally the series was set to begin Friday at Bloomsburg, but this week's late season snowstorm forced another schedule change. While the long-lasting winter conditions have caused trouble for most teams throughout the region, Bloomsburg has been impacted as much as anyone – the Huskies have gotten in just 14 games so far, fewest in the PSAC. Ten of the PSAC's 16 teams have played at least 21 games. Poor weather forced the cancellation of the season-opening trip to the Builder Invitational in Newport News, Va., a three-game series vs. Adelphi as well as other various non-conference attempts to play as well as two PSAC East games vs. Mansfield that have yet to be made up.
Â
BY THE NUMBERS5 – The Huskies opened their conference schedule with five PSAC East wins, starting 5-0 in conference for the first time since the 1995 regional championship team. Bloomsburg enters Saturday looking to snap a five-game skid that has left them 5-5 against conference foes.
Â
11 – Damin Muth (Breinigsville/Parkland) leads the Huskies with 11 RBIs on the year.
Â
.444 – Frain is batting a team-best .444 with runners on-base this season.
Â
.629 – Muth's .629 slugging percentage is also best on the roster.
Â
.968 – Bloomsburg's .968 team fielding percentage ranks fourth in the PSAC. Millersville's .974 is best in the conference.
