BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University wrestling team sent eight wrestlers to the University Nationals Free Style Championships in Akron, OH last weekend.

Competing for the Huskies were
Jon Haas (Penfield, NY/Penfield) (57 kg);
Sam Holandez (Carson, Ca./Carson) (57 kg);
Andy Schutz (Exeter, Pa./Wyoming Area) (61 kg);
Max Good (Hanover, Pa./Cedar Cliff) (65 kg);
Matt Hammerstone (White Haven/Crestwood ) (79 kg);
Brendon Colbert (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) (70 kg);
Kevin Laubach (Berwick, Pa./Berwick Area) (70 kg) and
Michael Mirra (Mountaintop/Crestwood) (85 kg). Colbert, Laubach and Mirra all went 2-2 for the event with Haas posting a 1-2 record.

Colbert opened with a 12-1 win over Marcus Peterson, then downed Kyle Simaz before dropping his next two matches. Laubach beat Shane Arechiga by fall in 2:59, then after losing his next match, beat Colin Hopins by tech fall,12-2. Mirra posted a 10-4 win over Payton Mills to start the day and also beat Nathan Morris, 10-2. Haas opened with an 8-2 win over William Anderson before dropping his next two bouts.
