STORYLINE
Bloomsburg will look to end its two-game losing skid with a match at Mansfield on Wednesday night. The Huskies dropped a 2-1 decision to Slippery Rock this past Saturday afternoon. Bloomsburg now sits at 4-4-2 overall and 3-4-2 in the PSAC conference. Mansfield comes into the match after defeating Clarion University over the weekend by a score of 3-0. The Mountaineers improved to 2-6-1 overall and 2-6 in conference play after the win.Â

The Huskies hold the advantage in the all-time series, 15-2-2, over Mansfield.
LAST TIME OUT
Bloomsburg dropped its second consecutive match this past Saturday by a score of 2-1. The Rock struck first with an 18-yard blast from Andrea Felix in the 21st minute of play. Bloomsburg was able to get on the board quickly in the second half after
Megan Carroll (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) was able to control an
Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) throw in and place the ball over the keeper's hands into the back of the net to tie the match. With the game winding down, Slippery Rock's Andrea Felix found Dara Demich on a give-and-go down the left side of the field. Demich then slipped the ball past the Huskie goalkeeper,
Devon Haviland (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood), to give The Rock a 2-1 lead and ultimately, the victory.
Mansfield blanked Clarion last time out by a score of 3-0. Delaney Meadows notched two goals in the contest which also moved her into a tie for second place on the school's all-time scoring list. The game also saw freshman Eleni Gebbia score her first collegiate goal. Sophomore Rachel Fox notched the sixth shutout of her career while making six saves in the contest.
LAST MEETING
The Huskies and the Mountaineers squared off last season under the lights at Steph Pettit Stadium on October 7. The match saw Bloomsburg secure at 1-0 win coming courtesy of sophomore
Rachel Yenney (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley)'s first goal of the season. The goal came in the 79th minute of the match and was assisted by seniors
Ashley Sanchez (Lyndhurst/DePaul Catholic) and
Stephanie Tuccio (Exton/Bishop Shanahan). Devin Haviland made three saves for the shutout win.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg sits at 4-4-2 overall and 3-4-2 in the conference on the season. The Huskies are currently 11th in the PSAC standings and are well within striking distance of a top eight spot to make the PSAC playoffs. The Huskies have outscored their opponents by a 13-9 margin and rank tenth in the PSAC in scoring offense (1.30) and sixth in scoring defense (0.90). Sophomore
Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) continues to lead the way in scoring as she now has seven points on the year with two goals and three assists. Senior
Allie Camp (Beavertown, Pa./Midd-West) and freshman
Megan Callan (Eldersburg, Md./Century) are both tied for second in scoring with four points each. Camp has a goal and two assists while Callan has two goals on the year. Seniors
Megan Carroll (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) and
Emily Potter (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) along with sophomore
Jessica Supp (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) all have three points with a goal and assist each.Â
Devon Haviland (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) has played and started every game in net for the Huskies this season. She ranks eighth in the PSAC in goals against average (0.85) and tied for first in shutouts (5).
SCOUTING MANSFIELD
Mansfield enters the match with a 2-6-1 overall record and a 2-6 mark in the PSAC which leaves them in a tie for 13th place in the conference. Delaney Meadows is leading the way for the Mountaineers in the scoring department with five goals and ten points. She is currently second all-time in goals scored at Mansfield. Danielle Lentz, Nicole Holborn, Emily Smith, and Eleni Gebbia all have one goal on the season and are in a tie for second on the team in scoring. Rachel Fox has started every game in net for Mansfield, posting a .794 save percentage along with a 2-6-1 record. Fox has also posted two shutouts on the season.
