BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University men's swimming team returns to action on Saturday afternoon when it entertains Clarion University at the Nelson Field House Pool. Start time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
BLOOMSBURG NOTES
The Huskies come into the meet with a 3-0 overall record after posting back-to-back victories last weekend at Gannon and Edinboro. Bloomsburg opened the season with an impressive home victory over West Chester on October 29.
Last Friday, the Huskies took care of Gannon by a final of 135-70. Nine different swimmers posted at least one individual victory or was part of a relay-winning team against the Golden Knights. Freshman
Devon Polak (Maple Glen, Pa./Upper Dublin) led the way with three victories - two individual and one relay - while freshman
Colin Bauer (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) and sophomore
Kyle Dix (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) added one individual and one relay win apiece. Also getting victories were junior
Josh Grzech (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood), freshman
Doug Boehme (Blue Bell, Pa./Buxmont Christian Academy), junior
Paul Rocchi (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan), senior

A.J. Brady (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy), and freshman
Jordan Wyant (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity). The Huskies also had 16 PSAC qualifying times on Friday night.
Then, on Saturday afternoon, Bloomsburg handled Edinboro by a final of 132-70. Bloomsburg captured six victories in individual events and won both relay races to post the win. The Huskies also had 17 PSAC qualifying performances during the meet. Freshman
Doug Boehme (Blue Bell, Pa./Buxmont Christian Academy) continued the torrid start to his rookie season by winning a pair of individual events against the Fighting Scots. Junior
Alex McCullough (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), junior
Sam Feiser (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), Polak, and Dix also earned individual victories. Dix added two more wins in the relay events to finish with three total victories. Redshirt junior
Ryan Paisley (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) was also a part of both relay-winning teams to finish with two victories while Feiser added a relay win to give him a pair of first-place finishes.
CLARION NOTES
The Clarion men's swimming and diving team enters with a 2-0 record after posting victories over Grove City College (196-112) on October 8 and Edinboro (146-72) on October 15.
In the victory over Grove City to start the season, Nathan Porter took first or second in six different events - one relay and five individual. He was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay team and then had second-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle, the 100-yard freestyle, and the 100-yard backstroke before winning the 200-yard backstroke in 1:59.50. Ben Spencer had four victories (200-yard medley relay, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, and 400-yard individual medley) while Ian Lindsey (200-yard medley relay, 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke) had three wins. Patrick Olivier won the 1650-yard freestyle and the 200-yard butterfly while Joshua Thruston added wins in the 200-yard medley relay and the 100-yard freestyle).
Against Edinboro, Thruston, Sam Kinney, and Robert Hacku took the top three spots in the 100-yard freestyle while Porter, Olivier, and Thomas Toborowski repeated the feat in the 500-yard freestyle. Porter had wins in the 200-yard freestyle relay, the 200-yard freestyle, and the 500-yard freestyle while Spencer posted victories in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard backstroke. The Golden Eagles also swept the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions against the Fighting Scots.
