  BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's swimming team won its third consecutive meet on Saturday afternoon with a 129-76 victory over visiting Clarion University at the Nelson Field House Pool. The Huskies improved to 3-1 on the season.
Junior
Karly Hursey (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) continued her dominance in the distance events as she won the 500-yard freestyle, the 1000-yard freestyle, and the 1650-yard freestyle to lead the Huskies with three victories. Redshirt senior
Kaci McIlmoyle (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove) posted a pair of individual victories while freshman
Rebecca Cubbler (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford), redshirt junior
Courtney Middleton (Vineland, N.J./Vineland), and junior
Sarah Ritter (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) each had one individual win and one relay win on the afternoon.

Kaitlyn Floyd (Mertztown, Pa./Kutztown Area) added individual victories while sophomore
Sydney Mercer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Millville) was part of the winning 400-yard medley relay team.
The Huskies posted 22 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying times on Saturday afternoon.
"Our women had a lot of great swims today," said head coach
Stu Marvin. "I'm very pleased with where we are in our training. We are only three weeks out from our mid-season taper meet and I feel that we are really confident."
The team of Mercer, Ritter, Middleton, and Cubbler got the Huskies off on the right foot by posting a victory in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:01.03. Finishing third, just a tenth of a second out of second place, was the team of freshman

Connie Medura (Plymouth, Pa./Nanticoke Area), Cossitor, and McIlmoyle.
Hursey then posted back-to-back first-place finishes in the 1650-yard freestyle (17:58.50) and the 1000-yard freestyle (10:50.97) for her first two victories of the day. Sophomore
Abby Kling (York, Pa./Spring Grove) also had strong showings in both races, finishing second in the 1650-yard freestyle with a PSAC-qualifying time of 19:30.44 and then taking fourth in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:41.60).
Bloomsburg went on to have a first-place finisher in each of the next five events to take control of the meet. Cubbler (1:58.06)Â and Floyd (1:59.83)Â finished 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle followed by Cossitor's victory in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.36. Junior
Megan Carey (Waymart, Pa./Holy Cross) (26.01) and freshman
Shannon Ball (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) (26.11) also had strong showings in the sprint.
McIlmoyle won her first event of the day with a time of 2:13.33 in the 200-yard individual medley. Freshman
Kiera Wadsworth (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) placed third, touching the wall in 2:16.37. Middleton followed with her win in the 100-yard butterfly as she was the only swimmer to finish the race in under a minute (59.32). Senior
Colleen Finias (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) was second while redshirt sophomore
Mary Kate Boylan (Edgemont, Pa./Penncrest) was fourth.
Floyd claimed the win in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.48 - six one-hundredths of a second faster than Cossitor (55.54).
After Mercer and Wadsworth finished second and third in the 100-yard backstroke, Hursey claimed her third win of the day in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:14.41. Senior
Brooke Gilson (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) was third, finishing in 5:26.29.
Ritter (1:08.12) followed with a victory in the 100-yard breaststroke as Medura finished second and junior
Lauren Minford (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) was fifth with a PSAC qualifying time of 1:11.29. McIlmoyle closed out the individual events with a victory in the 400-yard individual medley, touching the wall in 4:47.41. Shuster and Carey finished second and third.
Bloomsburg swam the 200-yard freestyle relay but all three of the teams were exhibitions as the team had already clinched the meet.
The Huskies return to action next Saturday, November 19 when they travel to Carlisle, Pennsylvania to swim against Dickinson College. Start time is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
