COMPLETE RESULTS
CARLISLE, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's swimming team won its fourth consecutive meet on Saturday afternoon with a 133-64 victory at Dickinson College. The Huskies improved to 4-1 on the season.
The Huskies had ten swimmers finished first in either an individual event or a relay event against the Red Devils. Juniors
Sarah Ritter (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) and
Kate Cossitor (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) and freshman
Deanna Shuster (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) each won both an individual and a relay race to lead Bloomsburg.
Bloomsburg started the day by finishing 1-2 in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Shuster, Ritter, redshirt junior
Courtney Middleton (Vineland, N.J./Vineland), and redshirt sophomore
Mary Kate Boylan (Edgemont, Pa./Penncrest) touched the wall fist in 1:53.54 - less than a second faster than the team of sophomore
Sydney Mercer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Millville), senior
Connie Medura (Plymouth, Pa./Nanticoke Area), freshman
Kaitlyn Floyd (Mertztown, Pa./Kutztown Area), and redshirt senior
Kaci McIlmoyle (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove).
The Huskies had a strong showing in the 200-yard freestyle as McIlmoyle (2:00.11), senior
Brooke Gilson (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) (2:02.42), and Cossitor (2:02.48) finished first, second, and third respectively.
Freshman
Rebecca Cubbler (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) followed with a victory in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in 25.55, then Mercer followed suit with a win in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:15.80. Cossitor added a win in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.76, finishing just ahead of McIlmoyle who touched in 56.29. Sophomore
Madison Heintzelman (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) was fourth in the event with a time of 57.25.
Shuster earned her second victory of the day in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.91) while Ritter closed out the individual races with her second win of the day in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.98).
The Huskies also claimed a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay to close out the day of racing.
Bloomsburg returns to action when it travels to the University of Akron to compete in the Zippy Invitational from December 2 to December 4.
