BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University men's indoor track and field team will open its 2016-17 season on Saturday at the Bison Opener at Bucknell University. Action gets underway at 10 am.

The Huskies will feature a young squad with just four seniors and two juniors on the roster.

Among the veterans returning is senior
Ezra Ranco (Trappe, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) who was 10
th in the shot put at the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Championships last year, while junior
Daniel Neiswender (Lebanon, Pa/Cedar Crest) was a qualifier in both the 3k and 5k events. At 3000-meters he placed 11
th, while at 5000-meters he was 15
th.

The youth of the team is led by sophomore long jumper
Arthur Quaye (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown), who was fourth at the PSAC Championships a year ago with a mark of 6.83 meters, and sophomore miler
Eric Heatwole (State College, Pa./State College) who was eighth at PSACs.
In relay action the Huskies return the 4 x 800 team of Heatwole,
Kyle Klosinski (Springfield, Pa./Springfield),
Jake Plachko (St. Clair, Pa./Pottsville Area) and
James Wilson (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) that was eighth at the PSAC Championships.
