LAST TIME OUT ...
Bloomsburg played without starting point guard Donell Diggs (Washington, D.C./Takoma Academy) and starting two-guard Charles Haigler (Charles Town, WV/Hargrave Military Academy) (illness) but was still able to escape Mansfield with a 79-71 victory on Saturday. For the second time this season, Bloomsburg had five players finish in double figures led by Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) who had 17. Yahmir Greenlee (Philadelphia/Boys Latin), making his first start in a Husky uniform in place of Diggs, had a career-high 14 points while also adding four rebounds and four assists. Tyriek Steward (Wilkes-Barre/Elmer Meyers) scored all 13 of his points in the last 8:18 as the Huskies were able to stretch a three-point lead to as many as 16. Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant/Mid-Valley) (11) and Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, DE/Sanford School) (10) also finished in double figures. Bloomsburg knocked down a season-high nine three-pointers and turned the ball over just 12 times in the victory.

THE KUTZTOWN SERIES ...
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series, 107-54, but the series has taken a turn in the Golden Bears' favor in recent history. Kutztown has won three straight, five of the last six, and eight of the last ten meetings between the two schools. However, in nine of the last ten meetings, the margin of victory for either team has been no more than 11 points.

LAST MEETING AGAINST KUTZTOWN ...
Bloomsburg dropped a 99-76 decision at Kutztown on January 9, allowing the most points this season and the most since surrendering 103 points in a 103-79 loss at Pitt-Johnstown on December 17, 2014. Kutztown led 46-35 at halftime but the Huskies were able to trim the lead to six early in the second half. The Golden Bears, however, went on a 29-12 run over the next nine minutes to blow the game open. Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) recorded his eighth 20-point game of the season, finishing with a team-high 20 points while tying a career-high with seven rebounds. Wes Lyons (Millville/Millville) scored a season-high 16 points and also pulled down a season-best eight rebounds. Malik Garner (Philadelphia/Chestnut Hill Academy) (15) and Donell Diggs (Washington, D.C./Takoma Academy) (10) also finished in double figures. The Huskies made a season-low two three-pointers and allowed the Golden Bears to shoot 55.4% from the field (36-of-65).

SCOUTING KUTZTOWN ...
Kutztown enters on a five-game winning streak and currently sports a 17-4 overall record and a 14-3 mark in the PSAC East. The Golden Bears most recently defeated Shippensburg on Saturday by the final of 81-78 at Kutztown's Keystone Arena. Kutztown brings the PSAC's second-most prolific offense into Wednesday's contest as the Golden Bears average 85.8 points per game. Kutztown is ninth in scoring defense, allowing 72.8 points per game. The Golden Bears are also fourth in shooting percentage (.479), third in three-point shooting (.378), second in rebounding (41.2), third in rebounding margin (+7.6), and fourth in assist/turnover ratio (1.15). Kutztown spreads the ball offensively as it has eight players averaging at least 6.5 points per game. Three Golden Bears are in double figures, led by Josh Johnson who averages 14.7 points. He also brings down a team-high 8.7 rebounds per game. Anthony Lee (13.7) and Ryan Connolly (12.2) are also in double figures. Connolly is the team's main three-point shooter, knocking down 46 of 111 attempts (.414).

DOWNTOWN WITH THE HUSKIES ...
The Huskies have made at least one three-pointer in 148 consecutive games. The last time Bloomsburg did not make a three in a game was on December 4, 2010 in a 54-51 loss at Lock Haven when it went 0-7 from beyond the arc. Bloomsburg struggled to keep the streak alive on Saturday, January 9 at Kutztown, however, as the Huskies went just 2-of-13 from long range. Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant/Mid-Valley) hit the team's first triple with 18:08 left in the contest. From January 3 against Slippery Rock to Janaury 13 at Millersville, Bloomsburg made a total of 14 three-pointers (3.5 per game) and shot just 20.6% from long distance during the month of January. However, over the last six contests, the Huskies are 38-of-107 (6.3 per game) from long distance including a season-high nine threes at Mansfield on Saturday.

STREAK SNAPPING ...
Bloomsburg's 91-84 victory at East Stroudsburg on January 30 snapped a nine-game winning streak for the Warriors and also stopped a seven-game losing streak in the all-time series between the two schools. Prior to that game, Bloomsburg's last win over East Stroudsburg was an 80-78 win at Nelson Field House on February 22, 2012. However, Bloomsburg saw its season-high five-game winning streak come to an end on Wednesday with the 87-64 loss to West Chester.

SHORTHANDED HUSKIES ...
For the first time this season, Bloomsburg had to play without its starting point guard, Donell Diggs (Washington, D.C./Takoma Academy), and its starting shooting guard, Charles Haigler (Charles Town, WV/Hargrave Military Academy), on Saturday at Mansfield. However, the Huskies were able to leave Mansfield with a 79-71 victory thanks, in large part, to junior Yahmir Greenlee (Philadelphia/Boys Latin) and sophomore Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant/Mid-Valley) who stepped into the starting roles. Greenlee started for the first time as a Husky and scored a career-high 14 points while adding four rebounds and four assists. Prislupsky earned his seventh start of the year and scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds. The two were among five players to reach double figures in scoring for the contest (Mortellite, 17; Steward, 13; Rose, 10) - the second time this season that Bloomsburg has had five in double figures. The other occurrence came on November 22 in the Huskies' 81-75 win at California (PA).

WHAT A FINISH ...
Redshirt freshman Tyriek Steward (Wilkes-Barre/Elmer Meyers) finished with 13 points against Mansfield on Saturday with all 13 of his points coming in the final 8:18 of regulation. Steward helped the Huskies extend their lead - three points at the time - to as many as 16 before they settled for an eight-point win. It was Steward's fifth double-digit game of the season but his first since scoring 15 against West Chester on December 16. In the ten-game span between double-digit scoring efforts, Steward averaged just 4.1 points.

GREENLEE PROVIDES SPARK ...
Junior Yahmir Greenlee (Philadelphia/Boys Latin) became the 11th different player this season to score in double figures when he dropped in 11 points in the loss to West Chester on February 3. He added a career-high 14 points in the win at Mansfield on Saturday. Despite only averaging 11.3 minutes in 12 games this season, Greenlee is averaging 5.3 points per contest. Pro-rated to 40 minutes, Greenlee would be the team's second-leading scorer at 18.5 points per 40 minutes. He would trail only Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton)'s 26.8 points pro-rated scoring average.

MORTELLITE NAMED PSAC EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK ...
Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) captured the PSAC East Player of the Week honors on Monday, February 1, for the second time this season after averaging 23.0 points and 11.5 rebounds in a pair of Husky victories last week. Mortellite had 20 points and a career-high 12 boards in the win over Shippensburg on Wednesday, January 27, and then posted 26 points and 11 rebounds in the win at East Stroudsburg on Saturday, January 30. He also won the honor on November 23.

FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING ...
After not recording a double-double in his first 42 collegiate games, Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) posted back-to-back double-doubles on January 27 and January 30 to earn Player of the Week honors. The two 20-point efforts gave him 11 such games for the season while his two double-digit rebounding efforts were the first two of his career.

DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE ...
Malik Garner (Philadelphia/Chestnut Hill Academy) and Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) both recorded double-doubles in the 81-70 victory over Shippensburg on January 27. For Garner, it was his third double-double of the season while Mortellite recorded the first one of his collegiate career. Garner had 13 points and a team-high 14 rebounds while Mortellite scored a game-high 20 points to go along with 12 rebounds. The Huskies shattered their season-high with 54 rebounds in the win - 20 on the offensive glass. Bloomsburg, as a team, has only had six double-doubles this season - Garner leads the team with three while Mortellite (2) and Malik Sneed (Washington, D.C./Spingarn) (1) have also accomplished the feat.

OUT LIKE A LYONS ...
In the win over Cheyney on January 20, redshirt senior Wes Lyons (Millville/Millville) had 12 points, a season-high nine rebounds, and a career-high three blocks. From November 14 to January 6 (12 games), Lyons averaged only 4.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks. However, over his last eight games, Lyons is averaging 7.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks as the Huskies have gone 6-2 during the stretch. He started the stretch with a season-high 16 points against Kutztown on January 9. He also leads the team in field goal percentage this season, making 53-of-107 shots (49.5%). With his 12 points against Cheyney on January 20, Lyons went over 500 points for his career and his six rebounds against Shippensburg on January 27 gave him 300.

ALL-AROUND CAREER ...
Charles Haigler (Charles Town, WV/Hargrave Military Academy) currently ranks fourth on the team in scoring by averaging 7.4 points per game. He is also third on the team in assists with 29 (1.5 per game) and leads the team, and is tied for 18th in the conference, with 28 steals (1.4 per game). He is climbing a number of program career leaderboards which include being tied for fourth in career steals with 165 (Trevon Johnson - 2008-12). He trails Aaron Carter (1998-02) by 16 to move into a tie for third on the all-time list. Haigler also needs 103 points to become the 29th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points. For his career, Haigler averages 9.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.8 steals.

COMING UP ROSES ...
Sophomore Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, DE/Sanford School) sparked the Huskies off the bench against Shippensburg on January 27, scoring a career-high 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting and 4-of-6 from the line. It was the first time that Rose had recorded at least ten points in a game in a Bloomsburg uniform. He became the 10th different player to hit double figures in a game this season. He added seven rebounds and three blocks in the victory. After recording 10 points at Mansfield on Saturday, Rose is averaging 8.3 points over his last four games.

DEPTH PERCEPTION ...
Bloomsburg is getting production from a number of different players this season as 13 of the 15 players who have played at least one game this year have registered at least 19 points - and all 15 have scored at least three points. The Bloomsburg bench has scored 547 points this season, an average of 26.0 points per game and 34.6% of the team's scoring. Over the last two games, the Huskies' bench has combined to score 64 of the team's 143 points (44.8%).

WE'RE GOING STREAKING ...
With its victory at East Stroudsburg on January 30, Bloomsburg extended its winning streak to five games for the first time since beginning the 2014-15 season with six consecutive victories from November 14, 2014 to December 1, 2014. During the stretch, the Huskies averaged 79.0 points per game on offense but only allowed 64.8 points per game. The Huskies, however, had their winning streak snapped on Wednesday, February 3, against West Chester.

GARNERING SOME ATTENTION ...
Senior Malik Garner (Philadelphia/Chestnut Hill Academy) has nine double-digit scoring outputs in his last 13 games and is now averaging 8.6 points per game. During the stretch, Garner dropped in a career-best 17 in the win over Mansfield on December 19. Over the last 13 games, Garner has scored 144 points (11.1 ppg) on 57-of-127 (44.9%) from the field and 13-of-39 (33.3%) from beyond the arc. Through his first eight games of the year, Garner scored 36 points (4.5 ppg) on 15-of-42 from the field (35.7%) and 0-of-9 from three-point range. His rebounding is also up - he is averaging 7.1 rebounds over the last 13 games after posting only 3.8 per game in his first eight.

DIGGING HIS PERFORMANCE ...
Junior Donell Diggs (Washington, D.C./Takoma Academy) leads the team in assists with 81 (4.1 per game) and is second on the team in scoring (9.6 points per game). He became the first Husky with at least ten assists in a game since Charles Haigler (Charles Town, WV/Hargrave Military Academy) had 10 against Mansfield on January 23, 2013 when he dished out ten helpers in the win over Mansfield on December 19. He is seventh in the conference in assists (4.1) and is fifth in the league in assist/turnover ratio (2.0). He has recorded ten double-digit scoring efforts with his season-high of 22 coming at East Stroudsburg on Janaury 30. Diggs has also had three games with at least eight assists and eleven contests with at least four helpers.

EPIC RUNS ...
Bloomsburg got off to a sluggish start on Saturday, January 16, against Lock Haven but then went on a remarkable run to earn a 78-49 victory over the Bald Eagles. Trailing 19-13 with 8:49 left in the first half, Bloomsburg outscored Lock Haven 31-2 over the next 12:34 to take a 44-21 lead with 16:15 left in regulation. The Huskies trailed 19-18 with 5:11 left in the opening half and scored the next 26 points in the game, limiting Lock Haven to zero points in 8:56 of game action. Then, trailing 24-6 at East Stroudsburg on January 30, the Huskies went on a 16-0 run to get back into the game which eventually led to a stunning 91-84 come-from-behind victory.

MORE ON MORTELLITE ...
After leading the team in scoring as a rookie last season, Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) again leads the team in scoring this year, averaging 18.8 points per game. That figure has him fifth in the PSAC and first among players in the Eastern Division.  Last season, Mortellite hit 51 of his 119 three-point attempts (42.9%). His 51 triples last season were the 14th-highest figure in program history. This season, Mortellite is on pace for 62 triples (26 regular season games). The school record is 82 held by Jay DeShields during the 2001-02 campaign. He has moved into ninth on the school's all-time list with 101 career three-pointers.

SANOW PASSES SHELLY FOR SECOND-PLACE IN CAREER WINS ...
Head coach John Sanow is in his tenth season as the head coach of the Bloomsburg men's basketball program and has guided the Huskies to a 114-149 overall record to date - second in Bloomsburg history among career wins. Bloomsburg's 91-84 win at East Stroudsburg on January 30 was #113, which moved him ahead of Harold S. Shelly who won 112 games with the Huskies from 1949-1960. However, Sanow has a long time to catch the program's all-time leader, Charlie Chronister, who compiled 559 victores from 1971-2002.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE ...
Bloomsburg will make the short trip across I-80 to square off against Lock Haven on Saturday, February 13. Tip-off from Lock Haven is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. The Huskies handed the Bald Eagles a 78-49 loss at the Nelson Field House back on January 16.
