STORYLINE
The Huskies will play at home for the first time in 2016 when they host the Warriors of East Stroudsburg. The teams will play at East Stroudsburg on Friday to open conference play for both teams. Bloomsburg entered the weekend on a four-game winning streak, having taken two from both Virginia State (3/7) and Philadelphia (3/9). The Warriors have won five straight and are 15-2 to start the season.

ALL-TIME SERIES
East Stroudsburg holds a narrow margin over Bloomsburg in the all-time series, 100-98-3. The Warriors took three-of-four from the Huskies last season to take a two-game lead in the series.

LAST MEETING
The teams met four times last season with ESU winning three of the four contests. In the final doubleheader of the Huskies' season a year ago, the teams split at ESU. The Warriors took game one by a 5-3 final before the Huskies belted three home runs in game two to earn a 10-1 victory. Brian Almand (Haddon Township, N.J./Paul VI), Damin Muth (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland), and Corey Baiada (Harleysville/LaSalle) all went deep in the nightcap.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies, who won just 14 games all of last season, have gotten off to a 10-5 start in 2016. Bloomsburg won the Builder Invitational, February 25 to the 28th, with a perfect 5-0 record. After three losses at Wingate, the Huskies have won four straight entering the weekend. Bloomsburg has scored at least 17 runs three times and is batting .321 as a team. Joey Casselberry (Eagleville, Pa./Methacton) leads the Huskies with 23 hits in 58 at bats for a .397 batting average. Damin Muth (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) is right behind at .396 with three home runs and 20 runs batted in. Ryan Kirman (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Regional) has been the main power source for the Huskies as he has connected on nine of the team's 16 home runs and has driven in a team-high 22 runs. On the mound, the staff has posted a 3.81 ERA. Ashton Raines (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) is 1-0 with two saves and a 1.74 earned run average. Alex Carpenter (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) is 2-0 with a 2.49 ERA while Zach Newmyer (New Cumberland, Pa./Red Land) (2-1, 2.65) and Mike Warren (Garnerville, N.Y./St. Joseph Regional) (2-1, 4.05) have also won twice this season.

SCOUTING EAST STROUDSBURG
The Warriors enter with a 15-2 overall record and are second in the Atlantic Region and 15th in the country. ESU is scoring runs at an alarming rate as it has scored 210 runs in 17 games and is batting .384 as a team. The team has five players batting at least .400, led by Christian Rishel who is hitting .475 (29-of-61) with six home runs and 26 RBIs. Robert Bennie is tied with Rishel for the team lead in home runs with six while Drew Hercik is second in batting average (.446) and leads the squad with 28 runs batted in. On the mound, the Warriors have a team ERA of 4.09. Tyler Eckman is 4-0 with a 1.08 ERA while Matt Festa is 4-0 with a 1.57 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 23 innings. Ian Allen is another player to watch - he is batting .388 with a team-high 14 stolen bases and is 2-0 with a 2.81 ERA on the mound.
