STORYLINE
Bloomsburg and Mansfield tangle in a four-game weekend series with both teams looking to pick up their first conference wins of the season. The teams play at Mansfield on Friday and then will reconvene at Danny Litwhiler Field on Saturday.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Mansfield leads the all-time series by a 146-111 margin. However, the Huskies have won 16 of the last 20 meetings between the two schools dating back to the 2011 season.

LAST MEETING
Bloomsburg earned a four-game season sweep of Mansfield last year, winning both games of a doubleheader on March 13 by the scores of 9-3 and 6-3 and then posting a doubleheader sweep of the Mountaineers on April 13 by the finals of 14-1 and 7-6 in eight innings at Danny Litwhiler Field.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies currently sport an 11-9 overall record, getting back in the win column on Wednesday at University of the Sciences (14-6) after starting the conference season on a sour note last weekend by dropping all four games against nationally-ranked East Stroudsburg. Bloomsburg is currently batting .320 as a team with seven of its nine regular starters posting a batting average of .300 or better. Ryan Kirman (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Regional) has exploded offensively out of the gate. He is batting .329 with a PSAC-leading 11 home runs and a team-high 30 runs batted in. He currently is tied for fourth in the country in round trippers and is third in the nation in home runs per game. Tyler Benson (Montville, N.J./Montville Township) (32-of-80) and Austin Edgette (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) (28-of-78) lead the team in hitting with each posting a .400 batting average. Joey Casselberry (Eagleville, Pa./Methacton) (.373) and Shane Woelfel (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) (.356) are also off to fast starts at the plate. On the mound, the Huskies have a team earned run average of 5.15. Among starters, Zach Meyer (Muncy Valley, Pa./Sullivan County) has the best ERA on the staff at 3.38. He is 1-1 and has struck out 16 batters in 18.2 innings of work. Zach Newmyer (New Cumberland, Pa./Red Land) also has a sub-4.00 ERA, posting a 3.80 earned run average while sporting a 2-2 record in three starts (four appearances). Ashton Raines (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) has been the main piece out of the bullpen and is 1-1 with two saves and a team-leading 2.57 ERA in seven appearances.

SCOUTING MANSFIELD
Mansfield enters with an 8-10 overall record, but has lost its last six games dating back to a 12-11 victory over Rockhurst in 11 innings on March 10. Mansfield last played on March 18 and March 19 and lost four games to #3 Millersville to open conference play. Zephan Cash leads the Mountaineers in nearly every statistical category including average (.393), home runs (4), and runs batted in (16). He has also walked 20 times and has a .557 on-base percentage. Mansfield is hitting .302 as a team this season. On the mound, the team has a 5.24 ERA. Tommy Alexander is off to a blazing start, posting a 2-1 record with a 1.41 ERA in five starts. Chase Pepper is 2-2 with a 3.54 ERA in five starts. Billy Gregory is one of the main parts of the bullpen and leads the team with a 1.08 ERA in five appearances.
