BOX SCOREBLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 win over East Stroudsburg on Wednesday afternoon at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.

Bloomsburg took a 3-0 lead after doubles play. At number one the Huskies team of
Gabriela Bachinski (Cascavel, Panama/Colegio Estadula) and
Lindsey Tennis (Quakertown/Quakertown) won 8-2, while at number three the team of
Anna Newcomer (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) and
Siena Cerra (Levittown/Neshaminy) posted an 8-1 victory. The most exciting match of doubles came at number two with the team of
Cassandra Wentz (Windber/Winber Area) and
Catherine Garrity (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus) coming back from a 7-5 deficit to win the final four games and post a 9-7 win.

In singles play Bachinski dominated at number one winning 6-0, 6-0. Garrity posted a 6-4, 6-2 win at three singles, while Wentz came up with a 6-1, 6-1 win at number four.

Meredith Endy (Hummelstown/Lower Dauphin), playing at number five, won 6-2, 6-1, while Cerra got the match-clinching win at number six with a 6-3, 6-1 victory.

Bloomsburg is now 2-5, 2-2 in the PSAC East. The Huskies host the BU Duals this Saturday and Sunday.
