LAST TIME OUT ...
For the second consecutive game, Bloomsburg scored 59 points in the second half - 52 over the final 14:44 of regulation - as the Huskies erased a 12-point deficit to knock off Mansfield, 86-79, at the Nelson Field House on Wednesday. It was Bloomsburg's fifth win in the last six games and it moved them into a tie for fourth place in the PSAC Eastern Division standings. Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) paced Bloomsburg with 22 points (7-of-7 from the foul line). Yahmir Greenlee (Philadelphia, Pa./Boys Latin) added a career-high 21 pointers including a three-pointer with 39 seconds left that extended Bloomsburg's lead from one point to four points. Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) added 18 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

STARTING FIVE ...
1 - Redshirt junior Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) continues his rapid ascent up Bloomsburg's all-time scoring list. The sharpshooter currently sits in 19th place on the school's all-time list with 1,180 career points. He leapfrogged Al Williams (1975-78) during the win against Mansfield on Wednesday and now trails Tom Barlow (1999-03) by nine points to move into a tie for 18th place. He has scored at least 20 points in 12 of the 14 games this season and has 32 career 20-point efforts in 66 collegiate games. He has hit double figures in 50 of his last 52 games and has been held to under 10 points in a game only nine times in his career.

2 - Since head coach John Sanow moved juniors Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) and Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School (Highland CC)) to the bench, the Huskies' offense has really taken off. Sanow made the switch for the Felician game on December 18 and, since then, Bloomsburg has averaged 88.2 points over its last six contests. Prior to the lineup change, the Huskies averaged only 74.1 points per contest. The move has also significantly helped both Rose and McGirt. McGirt is averaging 16.2 points and 8.0 rebounds as a reserve while Rose is chipping in 11.0 points and 4.5 rebounds.

3 - Senior Yahmir Greenlee (Philadelphia, Pa./Boys Latin) has sparked the Huskies' offense as he has started the last five games after missing the first nine games of the season. Greenlee finished with career-highs in points (15), assists (9), and steals (4) while tying a career-best in rebounds (4) in the victory at West Chester on December 30. He broke his career-high with 19 points at Shippensburg last Friday before breaking it again on Wednesday with 21 points against Mansfield. All told, Greenlee has hit double figures in all five games and is averaging 16.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.6 steals. Greenlee averaged 4.7 points and 1.6 assists in 18 games (one start) with the Huskies last season. He had posted a previous high of 14 points in a win at Mansfield on February 6, 2016 and hit double digits in scoring only twice last season.

4 - After averaging only 3.8 points and 3.0 rebounds last season, junior Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School (Highland CC)) has stepped into more of an offensive role this season. Rose has hit double figures in scoring seven times after hitting the mark only twice all of last season. He posted the first double-double of his Bloomsburg career against Pitt-Johnstown with 10 points and 10 rebounds and then added a second with career-highs in both points (17) and rebounds (12) against Wilmington. He broke his career-high in points when he poured in 22 against Edinboro on Monday night. He is averaging 9.5 points and 4.9 boards this season.

5 - Bloomsburg had three players post a double-double in the win at Wilmington - Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) (28 pts, 11 reb), Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School (Highland CC)) (17 pts, 12 reb), and Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) (12 pts, 11 reb). It marked the first time multiple Huskies' players had a double-double since February 10, 2016 against Kutztown - Mortellite (25 pts, 13 reb) and Malik Garner (Philadelphia, Pa./Chestnut Hill Academy) (20 pts, 10 reb). The Huskies had not had three players post a double-double in the same game since prior to the 1990-1991 season.

THE SERIES ...
Millersville leads the all-time series against Bloomsburg, 94-88.

LAST MEETING AGAINST MILLERSVILLE ...
Bloomsburg jumped out to a 39-27 lead at halftime and cruised to an 85-59 victory over visiting Millersville on February 17, 2016 at the Nelson Field House. Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) poured in a game-high 24 points, shooting 8-of-12 from the field and 5-of-6 from three-point range. He added seven rebounds and five assists. Wes Lyons (Millville, Pa./Millville) (11), Donell Diggs (Washington, D.C./Takoma Academy (Prince George's CC)) (10), and Tyriek Steward (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Elmer Meyers) (10) were also in double figures for the Huskies. Lyons also pulled down a team-high nine rebounds. Shawn Williams led Millersville with 13 points while Ricky Mosley added 10. Millersville outrebounded Bloomsburg, 44-41, but shot just 2-of-25 (8.0%) from three-point range. The Huskies were 10-of-17 from beyond the arc (58.8%).

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS ...
After going just 4-22 a year ago, Millersville enters the contest with a 5-9 overall mark and a 4-6 record in the PSAC East under first-year head coach, Casey Stitzel. The Marauders, however, have lost four straight, including a 73-63 setback to PSAC West-leading IUP on Wednesday night. Millersville is seeking its first win at Bloomsburg since 2008 - it has lost eight straight at Nelson Field House. Marcus Adkinson leads Millersville in scoring (eighth in the PSAC) at 18.0 points per game. He has six 20-point games this season and is second in the PSAC, only to Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton), in total three-pointers and in three-pointers per game. He has scored 46 points and made 10 threes in the last two games. Conrad Chambers is second on the team in scoring (14.0) and is tied for the team lead in assists (2.5). Cornell Yarde II is third in scoring (12.9) and leads in rebounding (5.5). The achilles heel for Millersville has been its work on the glass. Millersville struggles to rebound the ball as it ranks dead last in the PSAC in rebounds per game (29.9), opponent rebounds per game (41.6), offensive rebounds per game (8.2), defensive rebounds per game (21.7), and rebounding margin (-11.7).

McGIRT HEATING UP ...
Junior Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) has provided the Huskies with a spark since off the bench since being removed from the starting lineup against Felician on December 18. In his eight starts, McGirt averaged 8.8 points and 6.5 rebounds but, over his last six games in a reserve role, McGirt is averaging 16.2 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting 37-of-65 (56.9%) from the field. He has hit double figures in all six games off the bench and scored a career-high 26 points in the loss at Shippensburg. He posted his team-leading fourth double-double of the season on Monday with 10 points and 13 rebounds against Edinboro.

LATEST MEMBER OF THE 1,000-POINT CLUB ...
On Saturday, December 3, redshirt junior Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) became the latest member of Bloomsburg University's 1,000-point club when he hit a pair of second-half free throws during the Huskies' 74-68 loss at Mercyhurst. All told, 29 players have hit the milestone in Bloomsburg's history with Mike Ellzy leading the way with 1,911 career points (1993-97). Mortellite now has 1,180 points in his Huskies' career - 19th on the school's all-time list. He needs nine points to tie Tom Barlow (1999-03) for 18th position.

CLIMBING ANOTHER LIST ...
Mortellite is also climbing the school's all-time list for career three-pointers. He owns sole possession of fifth on the school's all-time list after he surpassed Aaron Carter and Mike Cheatle with four triples in the win over Lincoln on November 15. Mortellite now has 171 for his career. Next in his sights is Jay DeShields who knocked down 205 triples from 1998-2002. Meanwhile, junior Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant, Pa./Mid-Valley) has hit 83 career triples and is 16 away from cracking the top ten.

NOT FOUL AT THE LINE ...
Bloomsburg has been impressive from the charity stripe this season as it ranks third in the PSAC, and 22nd in the country, in free-throw percentage (77.1%). Senior Donell Diggs (Washington, D.C./Takoma Academy (Prince George's CC)) (91.8%) and redshirt junior Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) (89.0%) are second and third in the league, respectively, in accuracy. Diggs, in fact, has made his last 25 free throws. Junior Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School (Highland CC)) (81.4%) is tied for eighth in the PSAC while junior Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) (78.2%) is 17th. The Huskies have also made a living at the line as they have made more trips to the stripe than their opponent in 11 of the 14 games and have scored more points from the line in 12 of the 14 contests (tied in one). Bloomsburg is +77 from the free-throw line this season.

DOWNTOWN WITH THE HUSKIES ...
The Huskies have made at least one three-pointer in 168 consecutive games. The last time Bloomsburg did not make a three in a game was on December 4, 2010 in a 54-51 loss at Lock Haven when it went 0-7 from beyond the arc. Bloomsburg has made at least ten three-pointers in a game four times this season - at Penn State Hazleton (10-of-21), against Pitt-Johnstown (10-of-24), against Cheyney (13-of-22), and against Edinboro (10-of-21). The Huskies made ten three-pointers in a game just one time last season - an 85-59 home victory against Millersville on February 17, 2016 (10-of-17). Mortellite is second in the PSAC in three-point percentage (42.9%), first in the PSAC (ninth in the country) in three-pointers per game (3.9), and tops in the PSAC (13th in the country) in total three-pointers (54). Mortellite and junior Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant, Pa./Mid-Valley) have combined to hit 74 of the team's 104 three-pointers.

BENCH PRODUCTION ...
This season, the bench has produced a total of 327 points - an average of 23.4 points per game. Production has certainly increased as the Huskies are now bringing juniors Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) and Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School (Highland CC)) off the bench. In fact, Bloomsburg's bench outscored West Chester, 34-8; Cheyney, 41-29; Shippensburg, 34-8; Edinboro, 42-10; and Mansfield, 31-0, in the last five games. All told, Bloomsburg's reserves have outscored the opponent in each of the last eight games and by a margin of 225-95. The opposition has totaled 249 bench points (17.8 per game).

UP NEXT ...
Bloomsburg will travel to Kutztown on Wednesday, January 18, to battle the Golden Bears. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The Huskies lead the all-time series, 108-53.
