LAST TIME OUT ...
Bloomsburg enjoyed another big second half and got a put-back from junior
Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) with 13.8 seconds left in regulation to edge Millersville, 78-77, at the Nelson Field House on Saturday afternoon. Bloomsburg trailed by as many as ten points with 10:36 left in regulation before making its comeback. McGirt, who played only 14 minutes off the bench because of foul trouble, finished with 11 points. Redshirt junior

Yahmir Greenlee (Philadelphia, Pa./Boys Latin) (12) and
Malik Sneed (Washington, D.C./Spingarn (Prince George's CC)) (10) were also in double figures. Millersville had five players in double figures in the loss.
STARTING FIVE ...
1 - Redshirt junior
Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) continues his rapid ascent up Bloomsburg's all-time scoring list. The sharpshooter currently sits in 18th place on the school's all-time list with 1,202 career points. He leapfrogged Tom Barlow (1999-03) during the win against Millersville on Saturday and now trails Craig Phillips (1987-91) by 38 points to move into a tie for 17th place. He has scored at least 20 points in 13 of the 15 games this season and has 33 career 20-point efforts in 67 collegiate games. He has hit double figures in 51 of his last 53 games and has been held to under 10 points in a game only nine times in his career.
2 - Since head coach
John Sanow moved juniors
Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) and
Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School (Highland CC)) to the bench, the Huskies' offense has really taken off. Sanow made the switch for the Felician game on December 18 and, since then, Bloomsburg has averaged 86.7 points over its last seven contests. Prior to the lineup change, the Huskies averaged only 74.1 points per contest. The move has also significantly helped both Rose and McGirt. McGirt is averaging 15.4 points and 7.3 rebounds as a reserve while Rose is chipping in 10.3 points and 4.4 rebounds.
3 - Senior
Yahmir Greenlee (Philadelphia, Pa./Boys Latin) has sparked the Huskies' offense as he has started the last six games after missing the first nine games of the season. Greenlee finished with career-highs in points (15), assists (9), and steals (4) while tying a career-best in rebounds (4) in the victory at West Chester on December 30. He broke his career-high with 19 points at Shippensburg before breaking it again last Wednesday with 21 points against Mansfield. All told, Greenlee has hit double figures in all six games and is averaging 15.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals. Greenlee averaged 4.7 points and 1.6 assists in 18 games (one start) with the Huskies last season. He had posted a previous high of 14 points in a win at Mansfield on February 6, 2016 and hit double digits in scoring only twice last season.
4 - This season, the bench has produced a total of 359 points - an average of 23.9 points per game. Production has certainly increased as the Huskies are now bringing juniors
Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) and
Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School (Highland CC)) off the bench. In fact, Bloomsburg's bench outscored West Chester, 34-8; Cheyney, 41-29; Shippensburg, 34-8; Edinboro, 42-10; Mansfield, 31-0; and Millersville, 32-5, in the last six games. All told, Bloomsburg's reserves have outscored the opponent in each of the last nine games and by a margin of 257-100. The opposition has totaled 254 bench points (16.9 per game) this season.
5 - Bloomsburg had three players post a double-double in the win at Wilmington -
Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) (28 pts, 11 reb),
Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School (Highland CC)) (17 pts, 12 reb), and
Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) (12 pts, 11 reb). It marked the first time multiple Huskies' players had a double-double since February 10, 2016 against Kutztown - Mortellite (25 pts, 13 reb) and
Malik Garner (Philadelphia, Pa./Chestnut Hill Academy) (20 pts, 10 reb). The Huskies had not had three players post a double-double in the same game since prior to the 1990-1991 season.

Mortellite led the Huskies with 25 points and a career-high 13 rebounds while Garner also posted a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. The game was close throughout - Kutztown had the biggest lead of the game at seven points with 8:11 left in regulation. Bloomsburg's largest lead happened to be the final margin of victory. The teams battled through six ties and 16 lead changes. Josh Johnson led five Golden Bears in double figures with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Mortellite now has 175 for his career. Next in his sights is Jay DeShields who knocked down 205 triples from 1998-2002. His 58 three-pointers is already tied for the 13th-highest single-season total in school history. DeShields holds the record with 82 during the 2001-02 season. Meanwhile, junior
Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant, Pa./Mid-Valley) has hit 83 career triples and is 16 away from cracking the top ten.
NOT FOUL AT THE LINE ...
Bloomsburg has been impressive from the charity stripe this season as it ranks third in the PSAC, and 20th in the country, in free-throw percentage (77.4%). Senior

Bloomsburg is +84 from the free-throw line this season.

Bloomsburg has made at least ten three-pointers in a game four times this season - at Penn State Hazleton (10-of-21), against Pitt-Johnstown (10-of-24), against Cheyney (13-of-22), and against Edinboro (10-of-21). The Huskies made ten three-pointers in a game just one time last season - an 85-59 home victory against Millersville on February 17, 2016 (10-of-17). Mortellite is second in the PSAC in three-point percentage (43.6%), first in the PSAC (sixth in the country) in three-pointers per game (3.9), and tops in the PSAC (13th in the country) in total three-pointers (58).
