BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's swimming team jumps back into the water on Friday evening when it hosts Susquehanna University at the Nelson Field House Pool. Start time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. The Huskies will then travel to East Stroudsburg University on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. start.

BLOOMSBURG NOTES
- The Bloomsburg women's swimming team enters Friday's dual with a 4-1 overall record. Bloomsburg has won four straight duals after suffering a season-opening loss to West Chester. The Huskies are coming off of an eighth place finish at the Zippy Invitational, hosted by the University of Akron, from December 2 to December 4.

- Junior Karly Hursey (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) was named the Co-PSAC Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week for her efforts at the Zippy Invitational. She posted three NCAA 'B' cut times in the 500-yard freestyle, 1000-yard freestyle, and 1650-yard freestyle. At the time, all three were the fastest marks in the PSAC. She also posted fast times in both the 200-yard freestyle and in the 800-yard freestyle relay.

- Hursey's times were also 11th in Division II (1000-yard freestyle), 14th in Division II (1650-yard freestyle), and 23rd in Division II (500-yard freestyle). Senior Brooke Gilson (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) recorded the then-12th fastest time in the 1000-yard freestyle.

- Bloomsburg had six NCAA 'B' times during the meet - Hursey's three distance swims, freshman Rebecca Cubbler (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) in the 500-yard freestyle, and Gilson in both the 1000-yard freestyle and 1650-yard freestyle.

- In the Huskies' last dual meet way back on November 19 at Dickinson College, Bloomsburg posted a 133-64 victory to earn its fourth straight win. Juniors Sarah Ritter (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) and Kate Cossitor (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley), along with freshman Deanna Shuster (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury), each won both an individual event and a relay event to lead the team. Redshirt senior Kaci McIlmoyle (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove), freshman Rebecca Cubbler (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford), and sophomore Sydney Mercer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Millville) also posted individual victories.

- Bloomsburg will be at East Stroudsburg on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. In the last meeting against the Warriors, Bloomsburg won by a score of 151-103, in East Stroudsburg, on January 25, 2015.

SUSQUEHANNA NOTES
