LAST TIME OUT ...
Bloomsburg went above its season average in points on Saturday afternoon but could not stop East Stroudsburg University and the highest-scoring offense in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) as the Huskies dropped a 99-85 decision at the Nelson Field House. The game was back-and-forth for much of the first half, however, the Warriors were able to build an eight-point lead, 50-42, at halftime. The Huskies could never recover in the second half as East Stroudsburg led from start to finish to earn the 14-point win. Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) led the Huskies with 26 points while Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) added 19 points and seven rebounds. Yahmir Greenlee (Philadelphia, Pa./Boys Latin) was also in double figures with 16. Quindell Brice led four Warriors in double figures with 19 points.

STARTING FIVE ...
1 - Redshirt junior Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) continues his rapid ascent up Bloomsburg's all-time scoring list. The sharpshooter currently sits in 15th place on the school's all-time list with 1,256 career points. He jumped ahead of Craig Phillips (1987-91), Adam Bohman (1999-03), and Jon Bardsley (1978-82) during the loss against East Stroudsburg and now trails Aaron Carter (1998-02) by 16 points to move into a tie for 14th place. He has scored at least 20 points in 15 of the 17 games this season and has 35 career 20-point efforts in 69 collegiate games. He has hit double figures in 53 of his last 55 games and has been held to under 10 points in a game only nine times in his career.

2 - Bloomsburg has found its stride offensively and has moved to sixth in the PSAC in scoring offense at 81.0 points per game. Head coach John Sanow moved juniors Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) and Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School (Highland CC)) to the bench for the Felician game on December 18 and, since then, Bloomsburg has averaged 87.0 points over its last nine contests (McGirt has rejoined the starting lineup for the last two games). Prior to the lineup change, the Huskies averaged only 74.1 points per contest.

3 - Senior Yahmir Greenlee (Philadelphia, Pa./Boys Latin) has sparked the Huskies' offense as he has started the last eight games after missing the first nine games of the season. Greenlee finished with then-career-highs in points (15), assists (9), and steals (4) while tying a career-best in rebounds (4) in the victory at West Chester on December 30. He broke his career-high with 19 points at Shippensburg, broke it again with 21 points against Mansfield, and then broke it one final time with 25 points at Kutztown last Wednesday. All told, Greenlee has hit double figures in all eight games and is averaging 16.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.3 steals. He had posted a previous high of 14 points in a win at Mansfield on February 6, 2016 and hit double digits in scoring only twice last season.

4 - This season, the bench has produced a total of 388 points - an average of 22.8 points per game. Production certainly increased when the Huskies were bringing juniors Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) and Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School (Highland CC)) off the bench. In fact, Bloomsburg's bench outscored West Chester, 34-8; Cheyney, 41-29; Shippensburg, 34-8; Edinboro, 42- 10; Mansfield, 31-0; and Millersville, 32-5, in a six-game stretch. All told, Bloomsburg's reserves have outscored the opponent in nine of the last eleven games and by a margin of 286-166. The opposition has totaled 320 bench points (18.8 per game) this season.

5 - Bloomsburg had three players post a double-double in the win at Wilmington - Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) (28 pts, 11 reb), Kyle-Michael Rose (Middletown, Del./Sanford School (Highland CC)) (17 pts, 12 reb), and Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) (12 pts, 11 reb). It marked the first time multiple Huskies' players had a double-double since February 10, 2016 against Kutztown - Mortellite (25 pts, 13 reb) and Malik Garner (Philadelphia, Pa./Chestnut Hill Academy) (20 pts, 10 reb). The Huskies had not had three players post a double-double in the same game since prior to the 1990-1991 season.

THE SERIES ...
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against Lock Haven, 98-35.

LAST MEETING AGAINST LOCK HAVEN ...
Bloomsburg jumped out to a 50-32 lead at halftime and went on to post a 96-76 victory at Lock Haven on February 13, 2016. The Huskies shot 33-of-55 (60.0%) from the field and hit 8-of-13 (61.5%) from beyond the arc. The Huskies also enjoyed a 36-23 edge in rebounding. Malik Garner (Philadelphia, Pa./Chestnut Hill Academy) paced the Huskies with 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting while Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) added 20 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Wes Lyons (Millville, Pa./Millville) (12) and Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant, Pa./Mid-Valley) (10) were also in double figures. Braheime Jackson had a big day for Lock Haven as he finished with 27 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort.

SCOUTING THE BALD EAGLES ...
Lock Haven enters with an identical 9-8 overall record and a 5-8 mark in the PSAC East. Unlike Bloomsburg, however, the Bald Eagles were victorious their last time out, posting an 88-83 win at West Chester on Saturday afternoon. The Bald Eagles are fourth in the PSAC in scoring, averaging 81.6 points per game. The team is one of the best from the field in the league as it shoots at 47.4% on the season - fourth in the conference. However, the team is 13th in the league in points allowed as it gives up 77.5 points per contest. Lock Haven is 14th in the league in rebounding margin (-2.5) but is fifth in the PSAC in turnover margin (+2.12). The Bald Eagles are led in scoring by freshman sensation, Amir Hinton, who is second in the PSAC at 23.0 points per game. He shoots 56.9% from the field (148-of-260) and also leads the team in three-pointers with 25. He has also brought down a team-high 6.4 rebounds per game and is tops on the team in steals (36) and blocked shots (13). He is third in assists with 39. Ra'eese Hunt is also in double figures in scoring, averaging 13.6 points per contest. Cole Renninger leads the team in assists with 49 (2.9 per game) while also averaging 8.0 points per contest. Jihad Barnes (9.8 ppg, 4.0 rpg) and Craig Slade (8.0 ppg, 5.8 rpg) normally round out the starting five.

McGIRT HEATING UP ...
Junior Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) provided the Huskies with a spark coming off the bench after being removed from the starting lineup against Felician on December 18. He has, however, returned to the starting five for the last two contests. In his first eight games, McGirt averaged 8.8 points and 6.5 rebounds but, in his last nine games (seven in a reserve role), McGirt is averaging 15.9 points and 7.8 rebounds. He has hit double figures in his last nine games including a career-high 26 points in the loss at Shippensburg on January 6.

LATEST MEMBER OF THE 1,000-POINT CLUB ...
On Saturday, December 3, redshirt junior Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) became the latest member of Bloomsburg University's 1,000-point club when he hit a pair of second-half free throws during the Huskies' 74-68 loss at Mercyhurst. All told, 29 players have hit the milestone in Bloomsburg's history with Mike Ellzy leading the way with 1,911 career points (1993-97). Mortellite now has 1,256 points in his Huskies' career - 15th on the school's all-time list. He needs 16 points to tie Aaron Carter (1998-02) for 14th position and 43 points to tie Lorenzo Christmas (2010-14) for 13th place. Mortellite is just 107 points away from cracking the top ten.

CLIMBING ANOTHER LIST ...
Mortellite is also climbing the school's all-time list for career three-pointers. He owns sole possession of fifth on the school's all-time list after he surpassed Aaron Carter and Mike Cheatle with four triples in the win over Lincoln on November 15. Mortellite now has 186 for his career. Next in his sights is Jay DeShields who knocked down 205 triples from 1998-2002. His 69 three-pointers is already tied for the fourth-highest single-season total in school history. DeShields holds the record with 82 during the 2001-02 season. Meanwhile, junior Alex Prislupsky (Olyphant, Pa./Mid-Valley) has hit 83 career triples and is 16 away from cracking the top ten.

NOT FOUL AT THE LINE ...
Bloomsburg has been impressive from the charity stripe this season as it ranks third in the PSAC, and 17th in the country, in free-throw percentage (77.4%). Redshirt junior Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) (88.2%) and senior Donell Diggs (Washington, D.C./Takoma Academy (Prince George's CC)) (87.9%) are second and third in the league, respectively, in accuracy. Junior Carnell McGirt (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (Valley Forge Military Academy)) (78.7%) is tied for 16th. The Huskies have also made a living at the line as they have made more trips to the stripe than their opponent in 13 of the 17 games (tied in one) and have scored more points from the line in 14 of the 17 contests (tied in one). Bloomsburg is +85 from the free-throw line this season.

DOWNTOWN WITH THE HUSKIES ...
The Huskies have made at least one three-pointer in 171 consecutive games. The last time Bloomsburg did not make a three in a game was on December 4, 2010 in a 54-51 loss at Lock Haven when it went 0-7 from beyond the arc. Bloomsburg has made at least ten three-pointers in a game six times this season after achieving that feat just one time last season - an 85-59 home victory against Millersville on February 17, 2016 (10-of-17). Mortellite is second in the PSAC in three-point percentage (44.8%), first in the PSAC (second in the country) in three-pointers per game (4.1), and tops in the PSAC (10th in the country) in total three-pointers (69). Only Angelo State's Quay King (4.38) averages more three-pointers per game in the country.

MORTELLITE NAMED CLAIMS PSAC EAST HONORS ...
Redshirt junior Christian Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) was named the PSAC East Athlete of the Week last Tuesday afternoon after leading the Huskies to a 3-0 week. He averaged 23.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks in the three Bloomsburg wins a week ago. All told, 39 of Mortellite's 71 points came in the second half - Bloomsburg trailed Mansfield and Millersville by double digits in the second half before rallying.

UP NEXT ...
Bloomsburg will head to Cheyney on Saturday, January 28 for a 3:00 p.m. start. The Huskies defeated the Wolves, 104-63, at the Nelson Field House on January 3. The Huskies lead the all-time series against the Wolves, 69-67.
