STORYLINE
The Huskies and the Bald Eagles clash in a pivotal four-game weekend series beginning on Friday at Danny Litwhiler Field. Lock Haven is second in the PSAC Eastern Division while Bloomsburg enters the series in third place in the standings.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series, 105-68. Last season, the Huskies won all four meetings between the two schools.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies enter the weekend with a .306 team batting average, good for eighth in the PSAC. After hitting eight home runs in a doubleheader sweep of Clarion on Monday, the Huskies are now second in the league with 33 home runs (Shippensburg, 35). Tyler Benson (Montville, N.J./Montville Township) leads the Huskies with a .396 batting average (44-of-111), which puts him 12th in the league. He leads the conference in runs scored (37) and is tied for second in hits (44). He is also tied for third in the PSAC (with eight others, including Cole Swiger (Maple Glen, Pa./Upper Dublin)) in home runs with six. Ryuta Amaike (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) is second on the team with a .359 average (37-of-103). He has hit five home runs and driven in 27. Austin Edgette (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) enters on a nine-game hitting streak. During the stretch, he has raised his average from .278 to .339. He is the reigning PSAC East Player of the Week. Ryan Shiffer (Toms River, N.J./Toms River South) (.333) and Swiger (.323) are also above .300 on the season. Tyler Nowmos (Wrightstown, Pa./Council Rock North), meanwhile, became the first BU player since computerized stats were kept in 2000 to hit three home runs in a game during the Huskies' 15-1 game one win over Clarion on Monday.

On the mound, the Huskies are ninth in the PSAC with a 5.66 team earned run average. Amaike has posted the team's best ERA among starters as he is 3-1 with a 3.76 ERA. He has struck out 32 batters in 26.1 innings of work. Sophomore Ashton Raines (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) is tops on the team with 44 punchouts in 44.1 innings. Out of the bullpen, freshman Brett Alaimo (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) and sophomore Jeremy Zezza (Exeter, Pa./Wyoming Area) have been integral parts. Alaimo has pitched in eight games and has a team-high four saves with a 3.71 ERA. He has struck out 19 batters in 17 innings. Zezza is 1-0 with a 3.63 ERA in ten appearances. He has one save and has struck out 16 in 17.1 innings.

SCOUTING LOCK HAVEN
Lock Haven is second in the PSAC with a .340 team batting average (Mercyhurst, .348). Eight of the team's regulars have a batting average above .300 on the season. Matt Lahn leads the way with a .381 mark (32-of-84) while hitting five home runs and driving in 26. Kolby Dehaas is right behind, hitting at a .380 clip (30-of-79). Nick Stotler has a team-high six home runs while ranking third with a .363 average. On the mound, the Bald Eagles are third with a team ERA of 3.58. Mike Anthony and Jacob Belinda are off to sensational starts. Anthony is 4-2 with a 2.83 ERA and a strikeout-walk ratio of 45-5 in 41.1 innings. Belinda is 5-1 with a 3.08 ERA and has struck out 47 batters in 38 innings. Avery Eddy leads with a 1.73 ERA in seven appearances (four starts).

UP NEXT
Bloomsburg will travel to Slippery Rock on Tuesday, April 18, for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 2:00 p.m. The Huskies will then play a home-and-home series with PSAC East-leading West Chester on Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 22. The teams will meet in West Chester on Friday before heading to Bloomsburg on Saturday. Both twinbills are scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
