STORYLINE
Bloomsburg plays a four-game series against Millersville this weekend, beginning at Danny Litwhiler Field, on Friday afternoon. The series has enormous playoff implications for both teams as the Marauders currently occupy the fourth, and final, playoff spot in the eastern division with a 10-10 mark - one and a-half games ahead of fifth-place Bloomsburg.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Millersville leads the all-time series, 98-80. The Marauders won all four meetings between the two schools last season (8-0 and 6-1 in Millersville on April 15; 15-9, 10-7 in Bloomsburg on April 16).

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg enters the weekend series ranked tenth in the PSAC in team batting average (.303). Tyler Benson (Montville, N.J./Montville Township) leads the Huskies with a .394 batting average (56-of-142). He also leads the squad in runs scored (46), doubles (17), runs batted in (38), total bases (93), walks (27), slugging percentage (.655), on-base percentage (.511), and stolen bases (14). Benson currently leads the PSAC in runs scored and is tied for second in the league in hits. He also ranks in the top ten in the league in doubles (third), runs batted in (tied for ninth), total bases (fourth), walks (third), on-base percentage (tied for fourth), and stolen bases (tied for seventh). Ryan Shiffer (Toms River, N.J./Toms River South) is second on the team with a .333 batting average (47-of-141). He has six home runs and 34 runs batted in on the season. Austin Edgette (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) comes in with a .329 average (51-of-155) and is second on the team in runs (37), hits (51), doubles (14), and stolen bases (11). Ryuta Amaike (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) (.315) and Tyler Nowmos (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) (.302) also have batting averages north of .300 on the season. Cole Swiger (Maple Glen, Pa./Upper Dublin) leads the team in home runs with seven. As a team, the Huskies are third in the PSAC with 41 home runs and are second in runs scored (293).

On the mound, the Huskies are tenth in the PSAC with a team ERA of 5.98. Amaike leads the staff with a 2.97 ERA in seven appearances (six starts). He is 4-1 on the year and has limited opponents to a .240 batting average. In 39.1 innings, he has struck out 45 batters. Ashton Raines (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) and Mike Warren (Garnerville, N.Y./St. Joseph Regional) have also pitched well recently. Raines is 3-3 with a 5.59 ERA and a team-high five complete games. He leads the team with 50 strikeouts in 56.1 innings of work. Warren, meanwhile, is 4-3 with a 5.70 ERA and three complete games. He has struck out 48 batters in 53.2 innings. Out of the bullpen, Brett Alaimo (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) leads the Huskies with four saves in 11 appearances. He has a 4.91 ERA and has held opponents to a .209 batting average.

SCOUTING MILLERSVILLE
The Marauders come into the weekend with a .293 team batting average - tied for 11th in the PSAC. Chas McCormick leads the team with a .392 batting average (56-of-143) and also leads the squad in home runs (7) and runs batted in (37). Dan Neff is the only other Marauder with an average above .300 as he comes in with a .354 mark (51-of-144). He has added four home runs and 21 runs batted in on the season. Mitch Stoltzfus had a big 2016 and is having another solid season this year as he comes in with a .292 average (40-of-137) with three home runs and 35 runs batted in. Ben Snyder is second on the team in home runs (5) and sports a .279 average (31-of-111).

On the mound, Millersville is fourth in the PSAC with a 4.05 team ERA. Marauder pitchers have limited opponents to a .246 batting average on the season and the rotation is tied for second in the PSAC with 292 strikeouts. Eli Nabholz comes in with the best numbers among starters as he is 6-1 with a 2.85 ERA in 10 starts. In 60 innings, he has limited opponents to a .222 average and has struck out a team-high 76 batters. Tyler Yankosky is also having a solid season as he is 4-0 with a 3.53 ERA in eight starts. Mike Mock and Matt Ulrich have seen the most time out of the bullpen. Mock is 3-1 with four saves and a 1.13 ERA in 13 appearances. He has allowed only eight hits while striking out 25 batters in 16 innings. Ulrich is 3-2 with a 3.57 ERA in a team-high 15 appearances.

UP NEXT
The Huskies will conclude the regular season next weekend with a home-and-home series against Kutztown University. The teams will play a doubleheader on Friday, May 5, in Kutztown, before finishing off the series in Bloomsburg on Sunday, May 7. Both doubleheaders are scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
