The Bloomsburg University baseball team embarks on a four-game weekend series with Mansfield University. The Mountaineers are tied for third in the PSAC East while the Huskies are sixth in the division.

Tyler Benson (Montville, N.J./Montville Township) continues to lead the Huskies in hitting as he enters with a .374 batting average (34-of-91). He also leads the team in runs scored (28), hits (34), doubles (11), total bases (59), slugging percentage (.648), and on-base percentage (.477). On the mound, the Huskies have a team earned run average of 5.60 which puts them tenth in the PSAC. Amaike currently leads the team with a 3.22 earned run average and sports a 2-1 record in four appearances (three starts). SCOUTING MANSFIELD
On the season, the Mountaineers rank 13th in the PSAC with a .266 team batting average. Senior Peter Pena has the top batting average on the team at .393 (33-of-84). He leads the team in hits (33), doubles (7), home runs (4), runs batted in (24), and slugging (.619). Senior Taylor Hillson is hitting .316 (31-of-98). Hillson is tied with junior Dio Infante for the team lead in runs scored with 26. On the mound, Mansfield has a team ERA of 5.40, which is eighth in the PSAC. Senior Tanner Klein (3-1) has made six starts on the season, pitching his way to a 4.83 ERA. In 31.2 innings, he has allowed 19 runs on 38 hits, 16 walks, and 22 strikeouts. Freshman Tyler Guidos (3-0)Â has made one start and seven relief appearances this season. He has three saves, and a 1.83 ERA.
